what do all these alliances have to do with this fps and these planets. Arent we nameless mercs just doing the bidding of eve war machines. We get a planet for a eve corp we control its resouces we strech our control into its space and deeper in its system. Now some evil character from and eve corp comes to stop that and take over our planet how many mercs might come? give me a round about # or is this what were waiting to see with the release of this game. ?

We're most likely going to be members of corps and alliances, not just mercs.
If you want to be a merc, that's cool, join a merc corp . There are mercs corps in EVE also. |

EVEpedia is an enciclopedia for EVE online, so you can look at it, because these two games will be connected
FanFest 2012 you can see whats going on to Dust 514
Good luck! |

I am not a Nameless Merc. Nor am I beholden to any of the great EVE Alliances. if they want control of planets they will either have to field their own corp mercs or hire people like me to take it for them. or I could very well make my own contract and me and mine will take it for ourselves.
Welcome to New Eden, the rules are online a guideline, and anything goes. |

Every character has an employment history, so you can see which corps they've been with.
There are hundreds, probably thousands of corps.
Probably at least a hundred alliances. |

once we get onto tranquility server, im guessing we'll have access to eve channels like the Recruitment channel.
its a good place to keep an eye on and see who is recruiting, but there is also forums and such.
When we start off we should really be placed into our home factions, depending on who you chose as "race".
From there we can engage in faction warfare, presumably fighting over planets to increase our factions power base.
If you join a corporation, yu may find that they will not allow you to accept random contracts, corps are generally housed within alliances, and you don't want to cause trouble within an alliance, its bad for everyone.
More progressive Corps and alliances will already have plans in place for planetary conquest and holding. Working for these corps will be busy during the first few months, they'll be wanting to attain control of planets and systems with in their area of influence.
At this point it is fairly hard to screw over a merc. other then by dropping them off on a planet then not supporting them. The Big screw over is more likely to be alliances and corps trying to give certain mercs a bad name, making it harder for those mercs to join desirable alliances/corps.
to combat this, make sure you don't commit to anything too fast.
in my opinion any way... I'm no master strategist, but I have seen some of the ways EVE players like to screw each other over. |

To add to my points earlier.
Everyone is a spy, there are no other options.
If someone can steal everything you have, they will.
If it sounds like a good deal, it's a scam.
If it sounds like your going to win, it's a trap
If someone wants isk for recruiting you, it's a scam.
If someone doesn't ask you a million questions, it's a crap corp.
Corps that are not in an alliance may still have friends that are.
Alliances that are big now, could fail tomorrow.
Nothing is easy, Everything can be taken from you.
Once again Welcome to New Eden |

corp -> alliance -> coalition
Some are good some are bad. Half the time you just have to try one n see if you like them |
