They are... it's called a BETA for a reason dude. They are taking the bug reports and fixing them for post game, you never get beta updates unless they beta is known to last longer than say, half a year. |

You're new here, aren't you? I've only been playing a month and I've already seen a major update.
It's already lasted half a year and it will probably be a full year before it's over.
This is a real beta, not a glorified demo like most games have. |

Just thank god they're letting us play a beta so we don't get a pile a stinking bug poop on release. --->(Bethesda) |

I think the issue at hand is that we have been reporting bugs as we find them, over and over and over again, and they have not fixed any of them. I've been playing for about six months and before the last build I reported the invald fittings bug and the stuck in mapping screen and many other bugs, and we are still waiting. It is hard to test the beta, i.e. the game when you can't even get into to play it because it locks up your system time and time again. " PLEASE FIX WHAT WE REPORT SO WE CAN BETTER SERVE THE BETA BY TESTING IT." |

That's unfortunate that only PC players or a small amount of PS3 players know what BETA means, because everyone decided not to buy BF3 after the BETA. -_- |

a closed beta should in no way be seen as a free demo to the game. Some people just don't seem to understand that.
They come here, try to play the game, encounter a glitch/bug/whatever come rage on the forums about how hard this game sucks and how [enter company name here] is not doing anything about the issues that have been reported.
Unfortunately it's a reoccuring feat. I've seen 4 closed betas over the past 2 years and each and every single one of them had the same "doomsdag posts" on their forums.
Chill the fudge out man. If they haven't fixed an issue yet then they probably have their reasons for it. Perhaps it requires a massive amount of code to be changed? Perhaps changing this one part will break a shitton of other things?
Just keep cool and report the things you find. |

I wonder what people who have never written software think fixing bugs looks like. Do they think that all you need to know is that a problem exists and "poof" problem solved? Do they think it's like going to their tech support guy and saying their email doesn't work? |

Do they think it's like going to their tech support guy and saying their email doesn't work? I took a single class in JavaScript my sophomore year in high school. We had one project where we had to make a red circle move along the edge of the screen in a continuous loop. Took me ten days, during the course of which I broke the damn program at least three times.
I don't even want to imagine what programmers for massive, complex games like DUST have to go through. |
