instead of having players pop up at the spawn areas it would be nice if instead they would be dropped from orbit, this would give them some time to see whats going on at the spawn as well as possibly damaging/killing enemy units if dropped on top of enemies |

CRU: we walk out of droplinks: we come out a wormhole objectives/ home spawn: no clue
A animation for teleport, and when we drop in spawning us at 1000m up would be nice.

Yeah, I'm talking about normal spawning. I'm guessing it's teleportation also (the uplink is a beacon for more accurate teleportation).
Either that or we're dropped from somewhere and use our inertia dampeners.
Either way, there needs to be a visual effect for it. |

I actually thought about this when playing. It would be like StarHawk or Section 8. Since you are working for the Eve Players it would make sense that you would be dropped from orbit. |

Actually, since we have the Inertial Dampeners, being dropped from a height would help, if we could maneuver during the drop before activating.
Start us at 1000m, so we have a view of what's going on directly below us, and can maneuver away from hostiles, then kick the ID at almost point blank from the ground. (Some people would need to practice in order to get the timing right )
The reason for the last second ID is to keep the enemy from identifying where you'll hit before hand. No sense to let a squad leader eyeball you on drop, and have an orbital strike hitting at the same time you do! |
