Could someone please explain how they work in EVE or maybe how they might work in dust? ( This time I swear I used the search function first.) |

Whats the point of putting a bounty on a clone soldier. Even putting the fact that they're immortal aside, most likely they will die in a match soon anyway. I don't see the point of paying money to cause the inevitable to happen. |

Sets up bounty.
The next 100 kills on this guy gets 1 million isk each kill. |

Is this house it works in EVE? But, can someone bounty you in the middle of a match? How about this: whoever kills you the most, gets the bounty? |

Could be used to break their spirit, annoy them into leaving, shut down their squad operations or other purposes, not to mention just have fun. |

Currently the bounty system in EVE is broken. There is no depth to the bounty system and no real punishment for the "Outlaw" with the bounty on their head. Anyone can place a bounty on anyone else. If a bounty is high enough to warrant it, you can swap to a clone with no implants fitted (cheap) and have an alt or friend pod kill you and split the bounty between you. That it, there is no depth or any controlling mechanic to stop this from happening. |

Not sure how it would work in DUST, as with EVE the player MUST have a negative security rating (be a "bad" guy) in order to place a bounty on them. In DUST, there doesn't seem to be any sort of mechanic like that in place (or planned) |

In DUST, there doesn't seem to be any sort of mechanic like that in place (or planned) Maybe there doesn't need to be a security rating at all. What if you were able to bounty people who have a positive k/d ratio against you? This might help maintain balance as far as elite players not being able to put excessive bounties on newer players. Sort of how Uken games do it, there has to be an open window following an attack, the window only lasts for a little while and you can only post so many bounties from one window. Whoever delivers the kill shot comes away with the mullah, or whoever kills that clone the most or you could dole out the prize over a few deaths. |

Yeah, i read about it somewhere(?) and was looking for some feedback from the EVE players about how it works, apparently it doesn't . I hope they can pull it off successfully, it would be a really interesting feature. Corporations putting bounties on mercs, mercs getting back at each other, corporations built by bounty hunters for the sole purpose of strategic assassinations. |

I just don't see the concept as being viable when placed upon individual Mercs. Now, there is going to come a time when we as Mercs are battling on planets that are controlled by EvE players, and there could be a viable way for other corps to place bounty on certain structures being destroyed. That would make sense.
As stated earlier, bounties in EvE mean nothing. Some people wear them as a badge of pride, but they can be easily inflated. Back before clone jumps were implemented (Clone jumps are being able to move from one clone to another, thereby either traveling great distances, or swapping to different [or no] implants) it was an OK system. People that were getting bounties on them were likely to have invested in implants (733T pirates killing people), so they wouldn't want to suicide themselves to get the bounty. |

That is what a man with a bounty on his head will say. |
