I apologize if this subject has already been discussed, but I've been wondering about the SP cost of dropsuit training in future builds; specifically, are there plans to reduce it? Level 4 training in Assault Dropsuit costs over 1,000,000 SP, but the suits it grants access to are not, IMO, worth that heavy of an investment. They provide lesser armor and shield stats than the Assault Type-II, and in return only grant extra module slots and improved CPU / PG output. My understanding is that the devs want us to focus on modules more than suits for character enhancement and customization, and I agree with that notion wholeheartedly. But if I need to spend more SP on the skills necessary to unlock more and better modules, then I inherently have less to spend on suit training... which means I spend more on skills that let me squeeze everything I can from what I have now, like Engineering and Power Grid Management to get more power. Which means I have less to spend on a better suit that can support the "more and better" modules I have invested SP and ISK/AR to obtain.
Sorry for the vaguely free-form of that paragraph. I was mostly typing as I thought about things, so it's a little rant-ish. |

The skill will also give passive bonus, so even if I was only going to use the draonfly that needs no skills to use, I could use it better with Gallente scout lv5. The dev also mentioned we may get adv and proto type-ii suits. There may also be tier 2 skills unlocked by training suit to lv5 at some point, Tech II ships in EvE required maxing out Tech I(and other skills to lv5)before skill unlocked. |

Pretty sure they are also considering a nerf to the way skills affect your stats, so expect diminished rewards for all of your grinding in the future. |
