No, they don't need more HP, you just need to quit using them as an assault vehicle. Their primary function is to move units across the battlefield, their turrets are simply for mandatory defense. Just wait for Gunships and Jets. |

I've got a Grimsnes that's got the same armor tank modules as my Madrugar.
It can survive a good (being conservative with my estimate) 5-6 militia swarms. I've not had a chance to get a good test of it's capabilities yet but it can survive a lot of punishment.
The only, and I mean only, problem is how much the impacts throw the ship around. Health is not an issue.
Also I'm very close to getting cycled XT-1's on my dropship. The AT-1's basically turned my dropship into a gunship and now I'm gonna have prototype missile turrets? I'm beginning to wonder when the dropship complaining will start. |

The accelerated turrets get the missile on target faster but the cycled supply more DPS.
I prefer the cycled simply because I want high DPS as opposed to better shot travel time. |

Dps matters less in this game than on eve because you have to consider accuracy and travel time |

Dropships are pretty fast. You can run away relatively easily in them compared to a HAV. I think, if they had the same kind of durability, it would be very difficult to ever lose one. |
