What about the idea of small anti-infantry turrets being deployable like drop-links ect. are now? Throw down a drop link and a few small turrets and you have a defended spawn point. These turrets could also be placed indoors over entrances and around capable objectives. It was something about Tribes/Tribes 2 i really liked. Could have EMP turrets, that drain shields, webbers ect for anti-infantry. As well as small projectiles ect for damage.. |

Ones with normal turrets will probably come. Look at the installation section in the market. |

yeah sounds kinda like COD, but i do like the idea. Treat them almost like POS guns, and place them around spawn points and what not. |

Hmm so like deploy a control mod and then that mod controls how many and what you can deploy within a specific radias ? I guess my only problem with that is there is only one item to destroy to disable everything.
Edit:
I guess to think a bit more on this idea, the object which you are installing the turrets to defend could act as the control for the Turrets(Like a control tower) , In that sense once the object is destroyed there is little point to having the turrets anyway. Which is probably what you meant. This would also help stop random turret spam all over the map. And would essentially turn every deployable into a control tower. Objectives would have alot more then a small drop-link.. although hard to imagine a drop-link having any at all while still having a responsible amount on a control point. (IMHO in a realistic scaling sense)
I guess one way around that would be to have multiple objects placed in close proximity, such as a drop-link and a nano-hive, objects within there radius to each other would combine there PG/CPU for turrets. I think this could add alot to loggie/defensive roles. Could even have a vehicle that acts as a drop-link and nano-hive in one, that once driven to destination and deployed could have a substantial amount of PG/CPU for turrets/Other things not-yet-thought of. (Armor reppers, shield reppers ect.) |

Easily destructible. Just shoot/blow it up.. /EMP grenade. Tracking speeds, hard to hit a scout, easy to hit a heavy.. |

Maybe we need drones added, turrets would be immobile drones, like sentry in eve but with close range versions. |

i like the idea maybe a manable turret with some shields on? Like those on LAV's but with a shield infront for some protection and limited ammo. Shouldnt be too overpowered like 1-2 swarm launcher hits should take it out. Or maybe 1-2 av grenades would do the job aswell. |
