From a completely visual aspect looking at the four different types of dropsuits I think their should be an order like so:
Heavy - High HP - Slow movement Logistics - Mod-High HP - Med-Slow movement Assualt - Med HP - Med movement Scout - Low HP - High movement
As it stands the Logistics suit is below the assualt class in both HP and movement to the Assault class, when it visually appears to be a more heavily armored unit. So maybe reduce the speed just a little bit more, and definitely add quite a bit more HP. |

You really shouldn't do the whole "medium" vs. "high" thing.
Assault Type-I PG: 30 CPU: 150 Shield: 125 Armor: 175 Run: 5.0 m/s Sprint: 7.0 m/s (15.0 s) 1 LW, 1 S,1 SG, 2 H, 1 L, 1 E
Logistics Type-I PG: 39 CPU: 195 Shield: 125 Armor: 150 Run: 4.7 m/s Sprint: 6.6 m/s (12.0 s) 1 LW, 1 MG, 2 H, 2 L, 3 E
So as you can see the situation is vastly more complicated than "is slower, is weaker, has more equipment". If the only argument you have in favour of changing these characteristics of the logistics suit is that you feel it looks like it should have 175 armor instead of 150, or whatever, I think you're oversimplifying the issue. |

If logi had just as much health and speed as assault, why would anyone ever go assault? Not like the sidearm is that much of a bonus compared to extra equipment slots. |

I like your attention to detail.
But as far as"looks" go, I agree the logi looks like he would have more armor but it I just equipment.

Slightly less armor, slightly slower, more module slots to fit extra armor in, more PG/CPU to fit better quality modules in if they forgo equipment, and no sidearm. Logistics suits are excellent, and ironically enough, the suggestion that the OP gave -- lower speed, more armor -- is exactly what you can do with your militia/type-I logistics suit by taking advantage of that 2nd low power slot the assault suit doesn't have. Throw some armor plates in there, and you get more armor than assault and slightly lower speed. Amazing. |
