I play logistics as a main and assault as a secondary (when map is full of enemy tanks) and very rarely scout or heavy, but when I got the new suits for doing the last beta event I got a weave heavy and scout??? I didnt think much of it since I didnt use those suits often enough to care but was glad to see that CCP made good on its promise to give out stuff for the last event. The part that irked me was when I was in a squad and someone mentioned their new "logi skinweave dropsuit" and i was like...  say what??? Sure enough he doesnt ever play logi as he is a sniper and would love to have my suit as I would lvoe to have his suit! Was there something done to pick who got what suits because I was a sniper last build but at the reset wanted to try logi and I am having much more fun with it so a new logi suit would be freaking awesome! You can have these other 2 back lol |

The suits you were awarded were based on when you logged in, as these were event based. For example (and the times are completely made up), if you logged in between 8 and 9 pm on a specific Saturday night, you got the Logi suit.
I personally ended up with Scout, Assault, and Logistics suits. I didn't get the Heavy. |

Hmmm, I was there for all the events from start to finish and I ended up with just the 2, scout and heavy. I wonder if they took into account all the logging in and out etc lol

Not sure. I chalked up missing the heavy to the fact that I was out of the country for 2 weeks and never thought about it. Perhaps my understanding is off, but that's how I had read the announcements about those events.
Also, I doubt you were on 24 hours a day for all of the events. My understanding is you had to be signed in between X and Y times specifically and they were very small windows. |

The assault was from the last week end of june I think. There was a event that was only few hours, that was probably the one for the heavy since few people received it. I played like 6 hours the right day, but was at work at the right time to for that event.
The logi suit was from the global carnage event, early july I think. |

I managed to get the scout logi and assault suits but I didn't log in during weekends I played thrus/fri due to no internet on weekends so I don't think it was specific times |

You know people can complain about this fact, but it remains that they distinguish you from most, and will especially after launch. They'll see play, and if CCP does make "militia" BPC instead of BPO then you'll be glad you have them, and they'll only be that much more unique, and used in-game. |

Just the way it's supposed to be, event rewards should be vanity items only anyway. |

BPO's as I have argued in general should never exceed standard tech level. We may be in the same universe of EVE Online, but we are naturally two different games requiring two different aproaches. Keeping BPO's as extremely rare and unique balanced items is the best way to ensure that they are kept just that -- balanced. I personally see the potential of these [i]skinweaver[i] variants, and I am glad they are balanced as they are. Does not mean I would not have minded them being a little different beyond color, but that is what the AUR MAG dropsuits are for. Ha-ha. |

the Heavy is introduced because I have one. I wish it was a logi suit instead but it is there and I could use it if I had the need or want to do so. |
