Anti-Vehicle hotfix on 31st of August and HAV imbalance thread(s) A lot of negative feedback came from the hotfix we deployed addressing Anti-Vehicle nerfs (AV grenades 25% less damage, forge guns 25% less damage, 400m lock-on swarm launcher) as tanks were already very hard to eliminate since currently they are swiss army knife of DUST that doesnGÇÖt have to sacrifice anything in order to do very good damage and tank infinitely at the same time.
Planned resolutions: We will make adjustments to the HAVs on various fronts: better module balancing, reduced movement speed, cool down timer on remote reps will also be increased. - Undoing/reducing the recent AV nerf - We are also working on other anti-vehicle items such as EMP weapons, chaff, and webifiers. - We are also looking at increasing WP rewards for killing vehicles.
Wont see me in a tank again I'm just glad thats over.
Thukker nades and fused nades next because nothin says P2W like they do.

good news i just hope that they don't go over the top. tanks are a good tactical part of this game if the balance is right.

Why dont they just make any non LAV vehicles require war points to call in like orbitals.
that would cut out the tank spam all together. |

They need to increase the cost of forge guns. The standard forge gun is way too cheap for what it does, it needs to be many times more expensive than 8k. |

37.6 m/s is not slow. As of now i can get air time with the caldari tanks |

I just hope they don't go too far in the other direction. I've been in a few matches with well fitted tanks that were basically invincible, and 4 at one, but nerfing them too hard would suck too. They need their place in the balance. |

seriously though now we get to see what tanks (and real good drivers) can do for a team when they actually help to push points, defend hold areas etc a very valuable asset to the team and well worth defending. solo pub play without infantry support will be a lot harder for them now as it should be. |

Tbh the module balancing is a good idea. 70-80% resistance to all damage is a bit obnoxious... I would like to see more variety in fits. Everyone runs pretty similar stuff...Damage reduction + repper/booster. |

You mean slow like this, right? That seems to be the way the caldari nano tanks move, whereas the gallente tanks move at just about the speed you seem to desire. :-) |

Going back to the way it was before sounded good to me, this seems like it may be a little over the top. Reducing tank mobility? Really? Why? I mean if the 25% reduction in damage of AV weapons was returned to normal and the AV guys got the webber mine, doesn't that seem like enough? Is there really a reason to make the swarm launcher lock on past infinity anymore? That just hurts dropship pilots not tanks. I'm afraid Tanks are going to be the next for the nerf hammer but I guess its our turn, I can take it.
What I see happening from all this.
Tanks currently have a little trick some people know to get the effective hp up to close to 30k. Which yes is massive and a lot of tank pilots I see are using this.
These changes will likely reduce the effective hp of all tanks to about 18k as I suspect they are going to fix this little issue.
Then they are going to give back the 25% damage on weapons. (Cool! They should be back up)
Then they are going to make it so that tanks can't run away (Why?)
No more effective spider tanking (Was this ever even a problem?)
And making us even more of a target with wp reward (I really do agree with this one)
I haven't seen the changes yet so I will withhold judgement but as a tank pilot, I feel the nerf hammer coming down. But like I said, it is our turn. |

they are adding chaff, i read that as flares for dropships that the crew deploy. prolly for infantry too to help protect the tanks. |

The thing I'm looking the most forward to is getting back at least some of my forge gun range. This plus slower tanks will make me very happy. |

While you're at it CCP, increase skill rank on tank turrets - shouldn't take half the time to skill up any small turret, and by extension being able to jump into a large turret faster than it takes to skill up the SMG |
