i play hard core logistics and i got some things i would like to say about bein a logi this build
repair tools: they dont really feel like a sure way to get points, and they are surprisingly expensive now, i recomend changing how points are recieved by making you get 1 point every time points are gained but gain them 15x faster than u do now, that way you get the same overall points for repairing massive amounts, but you still get points for repairing little amounts, also a huge thing that really annoys me is that i cant repair myself anymore, that was one of the major reasons i liked logistics, because i could spam all armor plating and still be able to repair myself, i dont know y they wanted to get rid of this, its not like logi was OP or anything. i will say that if i cant repair myself then atleast give the people i repair a damage resist bonus so they can tank for me, and if they do let me repair myself again (please do) i wouldnt be mad if i didnt get that dmg resist
nano hives: i kind of like how they give back grenades now, but now that they arent infinite i (and also it seems like other) dont want to throw them out as much, meaning its harder for people without hives to refil ammo without supply depos, i recommend that instead of having a certain amount of nano hives, just having one, and give it a cool down, maybe something like 30 secconds after the one u place runs out, that way im able to actually be an ammo box for my team. they could change the variants to acompany this i.e. a more mobile version that runs out really fast but recharges fast, or one that is the opposite, and one that has a bigger area but longer recharge and so on
nanite injectors: over all i think they did an amazing job making them beter this build, i just think you should get about 3 seconds to get back up before you can get damaged again because alot of the time i revive someone and they dont even get to get back up
thats pretty much all ive used or have something to say about, please feel free to input your suggestions or comments |

as a logi myself I'm...iffy.
They probably do repair tools the way they do to reduce server load. If they award one point 15x as often then that subroutine gets run 15x as often. We have enough latency issues.
The hive idea seems kind of OP, and I don't think it'll matter as much when we start seeing more team cooperation anyway. We'll likely see a lot more static battle lines than we do now, which will make it easier to get your hives used.
The injector idea I straight up dislike. Clear the area before reviving the guy, or at least get someone to lay down some covering fire. Simple as that. |

Just a question: do people go logistics for reasons besides helping other players? Because from my recent experience, they never actually try to help anyone on their team. I constantly see "stand by, triage unit in vicinity" (or something like that) while all I see on the radar is some guy driving in circles in an LAV ignoring me. |

alot of the time i play i am the only one actually supporting the team, but half the time preple are running away when im trying to repair them, walking past my nano hives, or bleeding out too fast
i will say there are alot of situations where i totally cannot get to some one but they still wait for me to come revive them, and that always makes me feel bad, the best matches i play are when we are all grouped in very close proximity that way i can keep groups of people alive, and repair like crazy, of course i throw two nano hives and they run out instantly sometimes, so we can never hold up forever |

The problem I run into when trying to revive someone is that the body and the revive box are not together. Most of the time they die or I die trying to revive them. Once that is fixed you will probably get revived more often. |

The reason we can't heal ourselves anymore is because it was a bug, a broken mechanic. It's not that Logi was broken, just that feature. You don't heal yourself with REMOTE Armor Repair units, we have Armor Repair modules for that. |

Logi could certainly use some love for the sake of us that "do logi" As it is, I'm not certain why it was added as a specialty in this game.
Passive armor rep is the way to go, it was a bug to be able to remote rep yourself.
Marking on the map a little better where someone calls for a revive would be nice. Maybe a blue pulsing dot or something. A team healthbar would be alright as well with the ability to mouse-over the bar to highlight their location on map.
Players having no motivation to value logi and what it potentially brings to the battlefield is another story. There is no Titan to defend, no expensive fleet, no critical asset. I'll follow a group, sometimes as many as five, and after repping them in a fight, as they fall they instantly choose to respawn with me right behind them. Why wouldn't they? Suits are cheap, even with a loss you can buy 10 more. They'll also run right past nano-hives, and why not? If you plan on dying recklessly, you can respawn with full ammo, and if you aren't reckless, you can stop by a supply depot.
Two things I'd like to see are 1) combat recognition for specialties added to stats. Things like revives for logis, headshots for snipers, crushing kills for drivers, etc. Straight k/d doesn't say a lot and anyone that does logi in this game or in Eve knows that we are like idiot savants.. everyone wants one to do their math homework, but there's no glory in it. 2) It would be nice if you got no reward for losing a match. Motivate people to group up and coordinate. Add value to the suit you're in and make it worth protecting.
Then again, this is a mainstream FPS.. |

in my opinion they should triple the points gained from repair tools to match that of the nanite injectors |

i want a module that lets me (a logi) have a moblie respawn on me, like the vehicle fittings.i'm sure it would just gobble up cpu/pg so it wouldn't be too unbalanced. |

+1 best games for logis are when the team works in a group
There is crappy feedback to the logi and to the person waiting to be healed It's so bad i no longer use the injector my 3 slots are 1. repair tool 2. uplink 3. nanohive
i get more use from these then trying to inject people

Kalahari, I've been debating switching to the same loadout, for the same reasons.
My ideal suit would be a heavy, loaded up on tank so I could charge through bullets and missiles to revive a fallen comrade, but what's the point if they respawn? It's also a bummer that you can do a heavy sniper fit, but not a heavy logibuddy..
So far I've done variations of those three but always kept an injector.. that rarely gets used. Time to switch. |
