How we fight and find other players is based off the minimap and the chevrons showing were it people are, I think this could be expanded on to be more interesting. For example every suit would have a limit sensor range and sensor strength, every suit would also have signature strength that would be detected by a sensor.
Each suit would have its own sensor rate assault would have the lowest with scout and heavys having more and the logi having the most. This would mean assault players will have to look for actual players rather than their chevron/mini map unless their in a group or with a logi.
this would mean players would have to think to take advantage of TACNET infomation and player would think how mcuh hitech and therefore hi signature modules they would want to put on their suits. players would stop being reliant on chevrons to find their enemy and would start looking for them, this would of course change how we find and locate thing on the map .
while it would casue the normal guy to look for the otherperson unless his team can use TACNET to their advantage it would make TACNET something players have to work towards to get the best from but it would still be there for players to use.

Everyone does have a sensor range that is affected by skills, and each suit type does have a certain signature level already.
All this information is pooled together and shared across the whole team. |

I'm proposing it be a shorter range those chevrons are always up, I think there should be a [u]noticeable [u\] difference. Right now everyone shows up on your sensor.
I've also noticed that some suggestion would lead to this, put a cap on the sensor range. |

The distributed nature of the minimap sensor is weird to get used to, but essentially you get an indicator not based on only your own sensor range but any enemy picked up by an allies sensor also get's a hud marker. I think anyway, that's how it seems to be working but I could be talking out my kitten here. |
