Seems really iffy tbh, im not sure if its hacking/reviving/repairing or just kills or a bit from each but also how much is needed from each player
Some games like in ambush i see a sniper kill a few ppl and prob so do ther squad and they get to call one in and its like maybe halfway in the match
Other games i can be hacking all game in skirmish and come across a few enemys but not that many tbh and maybe get a few kills and our squad may get a strike towards the end of a game
Its just seems odd that we have no real clarification, it just seems random tbh |

Squad total kills/wp seem to effect it because i have gotten them before without issueing squad commands. But to be the most effective at getting orbital streaks issueing squad commands and having squad members do them will get you OS very quick. So aka putting a capture on a object and having squad mates get kills around it while going in for the capture for extra squad points. putting defenx on a object and getting kills near it. things like that will speex up your achievement towards a OS. |

It is based on total war points earned during the match for your squad. For example, hacking an objective gives you 100 war points; destroying a Soma gives you 75; killing someone gives you 50; etc. CCP has not said what the total needs to be, however. |

I know it is war points but does anyone know if the squad leader commission is added on top of the bonus that the rest of the squad members get for following squad commands. |

It only happened to me once during the brief period at the start of this build before they wiped us, but it seems to be possible for an individual to earn his or her own strike, separate from the ones earned by the squad as a whole. This leads me to believe that there is a specific WP threshold that needs to be reached to earn it. A squad of four using vehicles and squad commands would probably earn them the fastest. |

But as soon as we have decent squad and comms working we can figure it out quick enough.
In squad give the instruction at the start of match to all squad members to verbally call out their war points as they get them
Squad leader keeps a running list until he sees the orbital strike message
So, in squad chat you'll hear," 50, 50, 25, 25 25 100 50" then the flag will come up with the orbital strike ready and we canback tally the totals
Do this a time or two and post results to forums. Then we will have enough data to tell if it's just war points driving the strike and if so, what the totals

Squad commission points do help you achieve them faster. I have achieved a Orbital strike within the first 45 seconds of the match with out my squad having a single kill. :) Lets just say we are well trained at how to add up those squad commission points very quickly. |

No, I think I was in a squad of three. I was not the squad leader and we had already earned one as a squad. It could have easily been a glitch, though. It was a wacky three games I actually managed to get into before the wipe. |

And Orbitals are definitely by warpoints earned by your squad |

Hey, I get it, forlorn. That's why they call you a grunt. Best we can hope is to keep you guys pointed in the right direction when friendly fire turns on.
So, anyone that is capable of calling out a number when it flashes on screen should be able to test and discover how. The orbital strike system works.
