Has anyone maxed out the pilot skills and has it helped with the control of the dropships? |

What would they help with? I can't find anything broken about flight. The only thing I could see changing is lowering cursor sensitivity, but that's a known bug.
Unless they want to make it accelerate faster with higher skill, so I can go from a hover to fast enough to evade a swarm. I could live with that. |

Piloting skill grants no bonuses
Here's hoping they're reasonable next build / by release. Such stupid wastes of time and ISK right now. I giggle every time I see a dropship. |

hehehehehehe...... I was fooling around with a mobile CRU in my dropship so I was doing backflips with 4 people in the dropship....... was funny to see how fast they bailed..... |

I will when it's on fire crashing into the ground, like all good dropships. Screw dropships.
They used to be my favorite part of DUST

Skills in don't do anything more than they say in the description, either unlocking stuff or adding bonuses to stuff etc.
In Eve however most ships have a bonus applied dependant on the level of skill you have to fly it, maybe increasing cargo hold or hybrid turret damage. Though not applied in DUST yet, expect to eventually see vehicles and even dropsuits with bonuses like sprint speed for scout or extra armor for a heavy or as you say, flight speed for the dropship.
They may well just be applied to the prototype gear or they may have smaller percentage bonuses applied to lower tier gear, depends how they choose to implement it, but it's a good set up in Eve so I don't see why they would carry it over to DUST. |

1) The current skills don't include the full set of stats that we can expect to see in the release.
2) Not all items that are expected to have skill based bonuses, have them yet.
3) I have a feeling the descriptions may not be complete yet. |

I think it's cute that just because you gave up after 10 minutes, you think everyone else is bad at dropships too. |
