ike the title suggests, I would like to see ammunition types added to the game, much like ammo types for weapons in EVE.
1. Armor piercing
This ammo type penetrates armor with a 25% damage bonus but hits shields for 25% less
2. EMP
This ammo type drains shields at a 25% bonus, but deals 2% less damage to armor
3. kinetic
This ammo type has the potential to cause the enemys weapon to sway or possibly a "push back" effect
4. Explosive
This ammo type deals 25% higher damage to all vehicles shields and armor, but 25% less damage to dropsuit armor and shields
5. cryo
This ammo type has a chance to slow a target's movement by 15% for a short time.
6. Precision
This ammo type gains an extra 25% optimal range and 10% accuracy but 25% less damage dealt
7. fury
This ammo type gains an extra 25% damage across the board but reduced range by 25% as well as 10% less accurate

I think this is something that will be added soon ;) It just makes sense being from the Eve Universe to have different ammo types. I could be wrong though... but yes I agree with you completely.
Right now the way it is, I can kill easily... so if they do decide to add ammo types, they would have to adjust specs on a lot of the items.... |

Sounds interesting, but the cryo ammo needs work. 15% chance with an SMG firing is gonna be 'frozen all the time' unless you have it like TF2's critical hit system. Single fire weapons get a roll every shot, while automatic weapons get a dice roll every second of fire. |

I like the concept and I'd think they'd plan to do something like that considering EVE has varying ammo types. It would only make sense. |

Dont forget Dust has its own seperate damage types. So once they implement those fully and add in resistances then ammo would be really useful |

From what I know there is no plans at this time to introduce separate ammo types. Different weapons already have different damage types associated with them and they already are more/less effective against shields/armor based on the weapon type.
Ammo just comes with the gun, and nothing has been disclosed to suggest their plans regarding that will change. |

It would be awesome if we can mod our weapons. I think that's the only way it would work. |
