Hi, any plans to fix weapon/equipment switching on the game pad?
It is infuriating right now having it all on the shoulder trigger, it just doesn't work when you need to switch to something in a hurry. If my AR clip runs out & I try to switch to my pistol I invariably switch to equipment. If I'm carrying multiple items & I try to equip nanite injector I often pull out something else, etc, etc.
Can we please have it mapped differently? One button to switch weapons, another to switch equipment (ideally multiple buttons for different equipment - but I understand there are limited buttons, it could still work well enough off one button, maybe multiple presses depending on what you wanted)
I personally think putting equipment on the D-pad would be good. Calling in a vehicle or orbital strike is invariably be done from somewhere safe so that could be taken off D-pad & stuck on a menu in start/select or somewhere. But even if you left it on the D-pad there is still room for equipment to be put there as well.
I'm enjoying this game so thanks, the more I read about it the more excited I'm getting!

Yes but the equipment should be available only on holding R2. |

I've been saying this since the first day I started playing this beta! Using R2 for everything is just plain stupid. |

Yeah, I'm getting really tired of this myself. Maybe tapping should switch only primary /secondary and you should have hold it to bring up the menu to get equipment. It's very frustrating to have to toggle the whole cycle or risk bringing up the wrong weapon or it not doing a damn thing at all. +1 D3LTA, skimmed past your post. |

They should just copy the entire control scheme from MAG. It was so smooth and enjoyable. If they took how MAG handled squad commands too, that would be awesome. |

<-- wants to be able to switch between weapons fast and smooth without triggering a change to a nanohive -.-
equipment can be switched to when you want it, rarely do you need to switch to equipment in as much of a hurry as you do your other weapon. |

+1 What D3LTA & Grenwal said.
Tap to cycle between weapons, hold to invoke selection wheel UI when you want to pick equipment. |

Personally I'm fine with the current set up. Wheel is much more reliable anyways. |

maybe make the wheel a bit easier to control rather than changing it completely. wider margin of area when your trying to select an option and more control over it. |
