I haven't really gotten into the whole heavy suit thing this build, I'm usually trying to survive them! But in the last build, It seemed to me that Forge Guns were the ultimate in tank, dropship and LAV destruction. With infinite range to anywhere on a map, no vehicle or person was safe! I'd personaly go with a Forge Gun - I can kill people in anything, or just when there in their suit. Used with a heavily geared up suit, the Forge gun was amazing! But if things have changed, and it isn't good please comment below. Maybe the swarm launcher is better now! |

Forge technically has higher DPS I think and if you lead the shots right the rounds move too fast to dodge easy, but they got hit hard in the range department. I think they got a bit over nerfed personally and that you either need to be able to move charged properly, or you need to shoot further.
Swarms have super range when locked, but they tend to crash into other stuff before they hit their target a lot of the time. You also can't lock on structures because they always hit the ground in front of the structures. You can dead fire them but then you have a fairly short range limit comparative to an AR. |

well if you are going heavy, imo would go forge. Swarm to me is more AV for other suits. Not sure why but see way to many firing swarms in the ground tryng to kill clones. Get a sidearm.
also gang..hit tanks from the back, really get a scream out of them. |

Swarms for armor tanks, forge for shield tanks. As a tanker I am just tellin you what works. Need some competition. |

I prefer swarm launchers because you're able to to equip secondary weapon like SMG for Assault dropsuit. |
