Simple question, and im sorry if it been asked before...
How does the loot machanic work? is it just random? dependant on the number/type of kills? jumping up n down on the corpse of you enemy????

Random. Your score, KDR, or aquired skills do not affect the outcome. This system is still subject to change as the Beta moves on. If not, think of it like Pokemon cards; never know which ones you are going to get^^ |

It's random. The magical loot fairy will say yes or no on what bits of loot you get and how much. Sometimes you get none, sometimes you get junk, other times you feel like you're rolling in ISK. She's a bit of a *****. =x |

Not yet but I'd imagine it would come in eventually. Would be stupid to be stuck with loot that you have absolutely no skills in. So I'd say its coming at some point. |

The final DUST release will rely on a player driven market. If EVE players try to monopolize the market with over priced goods, DUST mercs can use salvage in gear they cannot use to sell or trade other mercs to balance the free market. |

It can't be totally random. Somehow your kills and invested stuff seem to influence it somehow. Otherwise I won't be always getting droplinks and nanohives while others get Sagaris frames. The loot definitely changes when I'm changing playstyle from Logistics to LAV driving with my GF. |

I am also logi and my three most common salvages are Assault dropsuits, nanohives, and proto forgeguns (I have 30 at this point).Only one of those has to do with logis and two are unusable by my class and character. Me thinks there be an element of luck with this salvage system^^ |

Afaik its random.
Tho %chance to get what was lost ingame devided 70/30 winner/loosers would be awesone.
I dont complain looting sagarises, but it would make more sense getting a cut of what was used in the battle. |

T2 BPO lottery was random, loot is random. That is all.
And no i will never stop bringing it up 
seriously i think the higher value assets you take out the bigger the chance you get of better loot. |

I joined a game 15 seconds before it ended, got 60k and 3 T2 drop ships.
I've had games where I got nothing even though I was 2nd on the k/d list so yeah pretty much random.
