I reported the problem with mouse turning issues and below is the reply I received. Most likely it will be removed or edited so please keep it in mind if you come across the post. I removed the GM's name to attempt to avoid this.
Apparently support thinks that the mouse turning issue is a 'idea or suggestion for game improvement' and not a bug.
Petition: Mouse turning speed issues
You can follow up on your petition on: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=729&20120829-2962918-2DB1AFE9
Hello,
We would like to thank you for your suggestion but unfortunately the petition system is not really the best place for ideas and suggestions for game improvement. A much better place to make your opinion known is located at
http://DUST514feedback.questionpro.com
The developers frequently read that forum section for new ideas such as yours on game improvement. The best suggestion I could give you is to take this up there.
Best regards,

Hi, I just wanted to report that I have trouble turning while using a mouse in game. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the PS3 system (I only just bought it Saturday) so I don't know how to give you any diagnostic data. I certainly would if I could though.
It seems like if I move my mouse too quickly the turn speed slows to a crawl/turtle speed. I try to control how fast I move my wrist to stay within the 'playable range' of the mouse, but when someone sneaks up on me or a sniper takes a shot at me the issue becomes a real problem. I can't turn fast enough to get out of the way.
That being said, the controller is fine... I just seriously dislike playing with a controller. I went ahead and bought a PS3 when I found that the Dust was supporting KB/M functions. It's a very important feature to me, and I'd like to know whether it is truly a problem or if it's 'operating as intended' so I can move on if necessary. :) Thanks for your time. |

After further discussion with the GM, the GM only meant that bugs should reported to that URL which was put into the e-mail not that it wasn't a bug.
There was a bit of confusion and I drew the wrong conclusion from what was meant.

As a follow up: if there are folks out there who have zero trouble with their mouse turning, would you please post the brand and model of your mouse? I've tried four mice, a logitech G400, DeathAdder, an Amazon Basics mouse, and a stock Dell mouse that is pretty old (only tried out of desperation).
I'd love to play with a mouse but I can't seem to get any to work properly for me. Thanks for any input. |
