It says that DUST and EVE players can only chat with one another in certain systems (the list is in a forum at the EVE boards.)
But how do us DUST mercs get there? As far as I know, there's no way to change our location from the Star Map in the MQ.
EDIT: So it's not location-based? Ooookay...
Can someone please give me a clear explanation of how I can chat with EVE players? Like a step-by-step description? Because I really want to try it, it seems really cool. |

The whole thing is being bootstrapped together like a mimmitar ship, It might work but for now someone forgot to put enough duct tape on so give CCP abit they are working as hard as they can while trying not to bring all of SISI down. |

That only refers to local chat, and for the purposes of eve your local chat is where your npc corp is based. |

if you make a channel in game and an eve player joins it they can talk to you. If they want to talk in local they need to be in the system your corp is based out of. the star map does not accurately reflect this location. |

I just assume NDA doesn't apply while talkin to these players or I'm done for. It's nice looking in local and chatting with people about how tanks are 140k and them telling me about their 1.6billion ISK ship monster.

EVE players can join the channel that we make but currently we cannot join channels made in EVE. |
