I got this great idea. Let's say you fit out a logi fit for speed and shotguns. Uses lots of fun logi gear and shield tank. Now when you go to the skill screen wouldn't it be great if we could sort the skills by dropsuits? This game is going to have a ton if skills. Why not make it easier on us with some tools?
The idea is you press r3 and it brings up your list of fits, pick one and both the skills and all skills tabs show only skills related to that fit. This would make it more clear and less duanting. It drives home the message that there might be a million skills but you only need to max out this set of 14 skills to be competitive with vets.
Plus with militia gear being owned for free , you can build out a suit for a role you can't do yet, and have the skill window spell it out for you. |

I see skills trees as something useful but with so many skills this would be very difficult |

Skill tree is a great idea. The list is very daunting and confusing when you first start out, so much so that it might cause semi-interested tester or future players to opt out for something easier to understand or plan out. Now that I've figured it out, i don't have a problem spending time going through things to see what will work for which build and so forth. Again, a great idea! |

Great idea for when the full game comes out, considering they should be putting out multiple variants of the suits. Id love to be able to search Minmatar Scout or Amarr Assault suits. But for now, we just have to deal with the basics of Caldari=Assault; Amarr=Heavy; Minmatar=Logistics; and Gallente=Scout. (If you want a full list of the current dropsuits and the skills required for them, head over here https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=31799&find=unread, this is my Marketplace guide, I currently have every milita gear, every dropsuit, and every weapon currently available, along with the skills, and the slots and amount of CPU and PG they take up in the fittings. Ill keep an eye out for different variants of suits, and add those once they show up
Edit: Since apparently the link doesnt work (no idea why, if someone could tell me Id appreciate it, Just search Marketplace Guide, and pick the one that is updated today |
