After people claiming Eve players return to Sisi soon I had to check for myself. According to this it's true, come Monday morning we may be able to see them from our Merc Quarters with a telescope.
My question to CCP is, will we remain open? I know the server times have changed and say all week, however we seem to have the most problems (or I do at least) during rush hour for server traffic. With the addition of all these new connections to Sisi, seems to me like the only course of actions are to kick us out for a while until we can all cohabitate or introduce a hot fix as these players come in.
I really hope it's the ladder as I love playing this game and just want it to be stable, but I'd still prefer the former to just opening Sisi and letting the problems pile up. What's everyone else think about this?
EDIT: For some reason the link isn't working, but the same one can be found here and clicking "read more details here" on the Singularity side |

I'd rather the server was down if they're not ready. I'd rather everything that can be anticipated IS anticipated. Prevention better than cure and all that jazz. |

Yup, sisi opens to eve on Monday. But don't expect much from that, all we'll be able to do is TALK to eve players and send/receive mail. Advanced interaction with eve won't happen til at leaste the build before full release OR full release. |

I agree Tony.
and Tribal, not expecting anything but that, just worried about the influx of connections to the server giving us an even harder time than we already have. I know it was there server first and we came in and took their land like a bunch of pilgrims, but if they want back in I just hope all goes smoothly and they can teach us how to fish or something like that to go with my analogy. |

That message of the day has been there since last week, ie should have been open last Monday.
I'm also fairly sure the extra connections to Sisi created by the Eve testers won't affect DUST all that much. If you look at the past 3 months graph on the link below, there's only ever been about 300 Eve connections to Sisi at any time compared to the numbers recently created by DUST.

I imagine (hope) that some of the delay in getting Eve up again on Sisi is the need to get another node up and running. |

That does actually ease my mind a bit, I was under the impression we'd be more than doubling the normal amount of players when both games are connected. Hopefully they don't all flock to Sisi at once hoping to find new stuff! |

SiSi is actually a really good, solid server, it's not going to have any issues with traffic at all. I think you'll find the server full messages we've been getting are due to CCP limiting the number of connections allowed from Dust to SiSi.
There's starting to ramp up stress testing by now i expect and this will be the next phase. |
