Hi, I bought Shield Adaptation skill and when I tried to upgrade - the skill was highlighted in bright white like usual after purchase. When I tried to upgrade however, I could not do it. I'd get a screen asking me to purchase the skill again.
There is still a red X next to the skill like I never bought it. But my isk is gone and I still can't unlock this skill. |

The big red X means that you can't train that skill yet. You probably need to train some other skill first. Look in the info for the skill under prerequisites. |

he's right.
some skills you can't just buy and train right away, more advanced skills you have to train skills to get that skill, understand?
yeah it is a bit complex at first, but you'll get the hang of it |

Ah thanks so much, that makes sense. But I still see a problem - why does the system allow it to be continually purchased? Needs a message stating prereqs not met yet and so cannot be used. Not that you can purchase it again. |

You will probably be able to sell and trade skill books in the full release, just like EVE. |

Well dude what you have to do is when u see a skill look at the prereq as some of the other testers have stated. Most likely you are new to the beta.......once u buy a skill book there is no need for you to buy it again. I understand that perhaps you did not know this but you will get the hang of the beta and be ready for the full release.
Also if you have any questions about the beta or any particular skill or any of the set ups......go into the game chat/voice chat and ask one of the testers who perhaps has been in the beta for a long time now. As of this point I have not seen anyone not sharing info about the game or how to do something. Everyone is very helpfull.............most understand its a beta.
Now as far as why you can just keep purchasing the same items over and over......as stated once the final release is out, supposedly you will be able to trade your unwanted items. Trade a skill book for something else and vise versa. Also if you are in a certain corp and perhaps one of your corp buddies needs a certain skill or item.....if you have it you can trade with them or even purchase it and trade or just give it to them. This game is all about team conquest, its not really about personal victories......while you do get SP and ISK for your efforts, in the end its about the strongest Corp and who will dominate certain sectors of space.

I was wonderin bout that as well i was hopin that eventually players would be able to trade or give allies items that the current owner of a weapon or vehicle that he didnt train in or want to use. any idea how this would work? |
