We have lost a legend.
If only we could have had that immortality we enjoy in DUST and EVE in real life.
Edit: An appropriate video, in loving memory of a legend. http://youtu.be/HCt1BwWE2gA |

Heck, I'd approve of my tax dollars going to that. Seems fitting for the first man to set foot on another celestial body. Knowing him, though, I don't think he'd like that. He hasn't been one to make a big deal about what he did, and I'd wager he'd be far more comfortable being interred right here on Earth like everyone else. |

Bury him at arlington along with our other hero's. I think he wouldn't mind that considering he was with them during the veithnam war. |

Godspeed, Mr. Armstrong. We play at traveling through space and walking on other planets. You've actually done it. Thank you for leading the way on the giant leap for mankind. |

He was born an hour north of where I live now and grew up. He taught aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati, my alma mater and the city I lived in for 15 years. I never met him, but I always wished I would have.
So sad now.

The thing I liked most about Armstrong was he didn't revel in what he did, he stayed very humble throughout the rest of his life. Sad day to see him go, may he R.I.P.

I don't want to be insulting, but I can find no other way to put this: I hope you aren't stupid enough to be thinking of Lance Armstrong instead of Neil Armstrong.
I'm just saying...

No doubt a true hero, deserving almost any honor one can bestow. Of course, he would likely want only a simple grave, simply to remember his life. "One small step for man. A giant leap for mankind" He followed those words to the end, never using his fame for personal gain. He almost never made a public appearance, never signed a sponsorship contract, and still left a legacy that will last forever. RIP Neil Alden Armstrong, you certainly deserved it. |

One of my earliest memories is sitting next to my father watching Neil Armstrong step out onto the lunar surface.
For myself and so many others, Neil Armstrong and the Apollo program defined what is possible.
And he always will.
Godspeed, Neil. Where you have gone we will follow. |
