Anyone noticed that there is no actual limit on how many uplinks can be deployed per player?
The limit is only applied per type of uplink. I was able to deploy seven uplinks simultaneously today, one of each of the basic variants, including the hacked one and two of the 'gauged' uplink.
That doesn't seem right, it surely can't be intended? The limit on active deployments per uplink type doesn't make sense if I can just cycle through six different fittings to deploy more uplinks instead. |

When the game comes out, I bet that people will have more important things to do than run around and place everywhere uplinks, especially since they pay for each suit they use. I appreciate your experiment but I do not understand it. In the future will be available scanning modules, which certainly detects uplinks in range. |

You don't lose your fitting if you switch it at a supply depot, and even if you do it by suiciding, all you have to lose is the single uplink you deployed, about 10k isk. Do you realize what tremendous effect a hidden spawn point behind enemy lines can have? It can easily decide about victory and defeat if used right. Now imagine a single player is able to hide a dozen spawn points behind enemy lines. The enemy will never be able to find them all, let alone expect that many uplinks.
My point is that this looks like an oversight from CCP that should be fixed. But if it is indeed intended, I seriously doubt that this is good game balance, so imo it should be changed either way. |

It's like stacking with suit and vehicle modules. Actually it works as intended I think. Why shouldn't you be able as you sacrifice your equipment slots? |

Why have a type limit if you can just switch to another variant to get around it? Also makes the gauged variants less useful. Using one type should offline all others. |

You need a type limit on the uplinks as some are spawning faster than others or have a higher health.
