I cant play more than 1 or 2 games in a row without freezing in the lobby while trying to get into a instabattle; either the server is
full, or I get into lobby and it fills like halfway up or not at all and then I just sit there for eternity. I turn my ps3 off and have
repeated the cycle now since the precursor update. I hope this is a priority right now because I dont know how much more my ps3
can take as well as my sanity.

I'm getting the same here. It's got to have something to do with the instant battle "option."
Almost makes the game unplayable having to hard reboot and wait 5 minutes for all the updates, server connections, splash screens PS Move info (why does everyone have to sit through that screen for so long without a skip option!?!), etc. to finish before actually getting to the game itself.... |

Same. Also freezing alot during the game - having to turn off PS3. Really nice when you've had your best kill rate ever in a game.
Makes playing pointless.  |

Yeah, I've been having the same problems too. I also had a really hard lock in the middle of storming a heavy blaster installation, had to hit the power button to shut down but it didn't completely shut off. Ended up yanking the power cord five minutes later, but since it'd flushed the write cache already it didn't do the filesystem check when I turned it back on.
edit: Or, it looks like the devs are already on the case, patch soon?
