Dear fellow Dustbunnies,
I have recently been enjoying a militia assault loadout with all the typical trimmings, but instead of a nanohive or cramming a drop uplink into the equipment, I have equipped a Nanite Injector.
The Injector has very low fitting requirements and I find that I hardly ever had use of other equipment as an assault player anyway.
Because of my positive experience using this loadout, I think it should be considered the gold standard for assault fits. With the injector you can perform your assault role, clear out enemies and then as the battle allows you can revive your teammates. Logistics aren't the only suit that can revive!
If you don't equip a nanite you are missing out on great opportunities for war points (which translates to ISK/SP). It still blows my mind when I fall down, I can see 5-8 friendlies within range of me, but no "nearby triage unit" notification. Give it a try, guys!
PS: In assault mode maps if you bleed out, you are the reason we lost. |

I like that idea too, a fast-moving medic with close-range weapon to clear people away from the bodies. Very nice tactic. Do you use the speed boosting low module? |

Previous two posters cited examples of their teammates playing like noobs. The point I'm trying to make is that people need to STOP playing like noobs. One of the best ways to do this is through proper use of bleed out timer and nanite injectors. Obviously you clear an area out before you res your buddy. Obviously you bleed out if the triage near you isn't making progress toward actually reviving you. But people who just instantly bleed out are losing the match for us when they could wait 20 seconds for a quick clear and revive. If your team is winning the engagement, stay on the floor! |

My suggestion to CCP would be to give a special icon to "triage" on the mini map while you are down, so you can see if they are even attempting to get to your body, or if its just some nub who spawned in a logi suit and has no clue but is in the general vicinity |

Ten-Sidhe wrote:Since the injector needs a promp, it shouldn't require changing weapon to equip it. If one is on fit and you are in right spot, prompt to hit interact button to revive. Killzone 3 did it this way, Mag as well I think(didn't play it much). If it was next to body rather then spot killed would help too, bodies can slide a long way.
I think the body location thing is a bug but I love your suggestion about the interact button. |
