Like really I drop to 1/5th my hp which is more armour then most vehicles have in my HAV and I start taking burn damage, while sheild tanks are given the easy of tripling armour hp and never receiving burn damage.
I would trade my damage control unit for one that reduces burn damage to 0 this is just stupid. |

Repairs armour slower than burn damage fixes it. I've tried and failed twice |

Fit a Heavy Armor Repairer. You shouldnt be using the regular ones on a tank anyways. |

I drive a shield tank but I agree burn damage is stupid. How the hell is a hunk of metal tank catching on fire anyway, and wouldn't they have some way to stop the burning in a super high-tech future tank? |

My biggest gripe with burn damage is that you don't get the kill if you did the damage to light them on fire |

Militia armour repair has saved me a few times with burning Dropships. But tbh it just means everyone will go armour, and the Caldari will be stuffed. |

If you have a shield tank, or dropship, and you're on fire, you're better off anyways, and shouldnt have allowed yourself to getto that point. Most shield tanks, when depleted, are 1 grenade away from being blown to bits. Hell, even a Scrambler could kill them with time. |

Nope, because bullets to sweet fa to vehicles since this build. Try jumping on a Tank and firing 200 rounds into it. Hardly a scratch. Simple fact. Burn damage makes armour Op in comparison to shields currently. Bye bye Caldari. |

Armour is meant to be strong because of the shields built in regen |

This discussion goes down to this "vs infantry it really doesn't matter because enough grenades and AV weapons have to take the whole tank out in a short burst one way or another and thats a seperate balance but burn damage gives the already inherent advantage to the shield tankers a even greater one, armour is supposed to be greater and have more potential EHP at least 8fold, but the way things are currently shield tankers actually have the potential to double armour EHP on equal tanks, and quadruple on better tanks."
So giving burn damage to penalize armour users is kinda silly considering it takes % damage from your hull (I think it's 1% at 20% hull and then +1% burn damage for each 0.5% hull damage for extra extra 1% from your hull is gone so when your near zero you actually have to spend like 3 minutes constantly repairing and sometimes jump out and use a repair gun to actually survive, while sheild tank could repair it in 20 seconds while their sheilds regenerate them self. |

The issue isn't burn damage itself. The issue is that you are taking burn damage after taking damage to your armor. In EVE, you have Shield HP, Armor HP, -and- Structure HP. You only begin to burn, after your structure has been damaged. They need to add the third HP type in Dust, it only makes sense. |

I don't think adding a third HP type would be "rewriting" the game, just adding some extra code. It wouldn't interact with damage any differently, it would just be separate partition of HP. |
