...sometimes place you right between two (or several more) enemy players, just to be gunned two seconds after spawn? Devs should probably figure out a workaround for this.
I never experienced issues like this when playing CoD:BO or Crysis 2. |

If you or anyone from your team did't bring Drop Uplink to a battlefield, you should take a risk by spawning in the middle of the battlefield. You'll be punished sometimes by doing so .
If it's Skirmish, then you should think where to spawn. If you decide to spawn on a point which is being pushed by enemies, you take a risk to be killed instantly.
Every dropsuit except heavy has at least one equipment slot. Put something useful there and don't forget to use it. If you don't like to die after spawning near two angry mercs pointing assault rifles on you, fit Drop Uplink to your equipment slot and be happy.
As I wrote in the other thread, not many mrecs use equipments at all and this is probably because they're new to the game and need some time to understand that equipment in your fitting is as import as a gun.
You also can spawn some vehicle with CRU, but it's more expensive than Drop Uplink.

I concur. A few days ago I was fuming in IRC about the ambush spawn system, but then I gave it some thought. Now when I start an ambush match, I'm the guy you see sprint for the nearest relatively safe area and drop that uplink. Sometimes I have to kill a few enemy to get there, sometimes I get gunned down right away.
You would think there are a few reasonable ways to fix spawning in front of enemies i.e dedicated spawn points for each team or setting the system to only allow you to spawn near friendlies. The problem with the first option is that a really good enemy can and WILL spawn camp you. The problem with the second option is the same, a really good enemy team is going to keep the pressure on the eventual blob of blues respawning constantly in front of them. Both of these options also severely take away from the usefulness and need for a Drop Uplink in an ambush battle. |

After being annoyed by this issue for some time, I think the random spawn point formula has too much "sods law" involved and need to be reduced by a factor of 10.
When i spawn in militia gear i end up miles away from the action and need to run a while to find anyone. When i spawn in any expensive gear i end up getting shot before the Black sreen dissapears...
Spawn point = Rand ()
not
If (militia gear) Spawn point = Random() else Spawn Point = 10 meters in front of enemy in the direction of enemies weapon.

Yes, quite hostly, this one is killing me. I hope this one gets fixed sooner than later. |

Happens way to often, kinda makes it impossible to play since you end up insta dead on spawn. |
