Wonder when the game is ready for release is it going to be open world or free roam like EVE or Planetside? or are we just going to get game modes? love the open world in EVE i could spend hours just roaming space. |

Lol i mean it makes sense right? EVE is open World so why not DUST? i mean the MQ feels meh bland more like a glorfied lobby then anythin else.

It's harder to do that on a planets surface then in space like EvE, I hope they find away to pull it off though.
The pirates could make a contract for dust bunnies to gank the dust bunny on the planet. The odds of somebody spotting you exploring will probably be low, will make it funny when whole enemy team spawns with contract to kill you, will this be were ambush mode comes in? That would be a literal ambush. |

Hey as long as it takes someone on the ground to call in the strike... Some of the EVE players need to get a clue already of how this works, I see too many EVE players thinking weird stuff like there gonna fly around in space and cheap shot mercs with no interaction involved with their own mercs..
(and Yes I also play EVE myself) |

It would certainly be cool. I like the idea of being able to fly around the EVE universe.
That mechanic would be too difficult to pull off though. I suppose if DUST corps could pool their resources to buy a ship, arm it, and maintain it, free roam would work. |

I myself get tired of 10 minute matches and then spend and hour with squad bugs in between each match.. (I'd prefer a free roam option to go along with the match play, hopefully they will consider this for an expansion as I doubt it can be slated for release) |

Free roam is a great idea, not sure how they could pull it off...
A favourate game of mine comes to mind; The Sabotuer,
where you roam occupied paris helping the resistance,
small teams in a large hostile PvE environment
special forces, archeology, exploration missions etc?
how we travel beyond the planets though, I don't have the foggiest, yet.

Maybe the map generator will eventually make cities to explore, maps seem big enough for it if crowded, doubles as game map if city is attacked, just with civilians evacuated, in shelters, running for lives. Maps for landmarks, exploration sites, visit maps that don't have a battle to hike around(I wouldn't find this fun but some may), visit eve stations once walking in stations is added.(last I heard it was still SOON in EvE). Lots of ways to do it, not easy to do it well. The fps needs to work well first, and the EvE skill and market needs also needs to be well functioning before free roam. |

I think that if a MERC group wants, they could fly off to a random and lay claim to it. Set up all of the structures that EVE players can, and then charge people customs fee to get it out of atmosphere.Also, say a group finds out that someone is hopping resources up to an office and wants to grab them, they can send in other DUST bunnies to board and steal them. The warbarge seems like a tad underpowered though doesn't it? Will it be hovering in space during the whole battle? If someone got on Sisi and flew to the planet we are fighting on, would they see two WBs hovering in orbit, occasionally firing down on the planet or what? |

Im gonna say this will never ever ever happen seems very complex and the game would have to be based around that idea and its just not atleast what we have seen once we take a peek at PvE i might change my mind everyone just dont get ur hopes up take this game as it is before thinking we will get awesome on top of more awesome lol |
