Anyone else's get flashbacks from the "old wars" resulting in a instinctive reaction to run away from the blue light as fast as possible?
Needs a eeennnGHHHBOOOOSHH sound effect tbh. |

Hehe, someone else is having PS flashbacks lol. At least it's not just me.
As soon as I see the blue flash I'm getting my tank out of there. After flying Lodestars and AMS's for many years it's pretty much instinct to GTFO

Due to my time spent wasting hundreds and hundred of hours in Warhawk I can say that any light indicating a large incoming hostile munition is going to send me running for the bunkers. In Warhawk you learn very quickly that green lights trying to pin point your position are horrible for your health, and you have not even seconds to react before the munitions bombs you hard into your grave. In Dust514 it is about the same. If I start to see a reaction in the clouds, or light around my area, and see a blue beam -- I run like hell, and start cussing up a storm. Hoping that I do not die.
Do I get flashbacks? Oh you bet. |

God yes..... I was a Gal pilot / Mag Mower driver . So I've been in enough courtyards to have my eye twitch every time I see blue this build . |

Actually, if you think about it a high powered laser going through atmosphere would produce a sound akin to a long peal of thunder.
For projectile weapons it would be a sonic boom of a minivan sized round flying at super sonic speeds. Not to me mention in RL such a thing would leave craters if not bullet holes going into the planet.
For hybrids...A plasma filled casing that releases it's payload on contact would seem to create a huge explosion. Before that, realistically, it would sound like a projectile weapon, but you would have to make them sound different for the game somehow.
Your on your own for the sounds of missiles though... |

i think that this sound would be cool for when an OB was selece like a sensor on the map picked up the order and then played th sound as a warning for everyone.
