I use lots of abbreviations, brackets, and slashes, and a price tag. Like a typical logistics fit might be called "MIL LOGI [milAR/brSMG/Rep/Rev]4k"
I'm curious how everyone names theirs. |

Same here; I read the above post my first day in the game and have used that system ever since. Although they all end in much higher numbers now...^^ |

For most fitting names, I start with something to tell me the approximate price. "High" or "Low" being most common. From there, I include what type of suit I'm using - "Heavy" or "Logi" for example.
Exception: Dragonfly suits are all free fittings for me right now, so I only label them "Dragonfly" and know they're free.
From there, I put a basic description that gives an idea what kind of weapons/Equipment that fitting is carrying. "CQC" for a Shotgun build, "AV" for a Swarm Launcher or Forge Gun, etc.
"Dragonfly AV" would mean it's a free fitting with a Swarm Launcher, I know the backup weapon is the Toxin SMG. "Low Scout AV" is a relatively cheap non-Militia Swarm Launcher and a similar Scout suit. That has a Toxin as well. "High Scout AV" costs more, and has a high-tier SMG instead of the Toxin. |

I name mine
Logistics - Single Shot (based on the Tactical Rifle)
Assault - Breach (Based on the Breach Rifle)
I just name them based off of the gun because I usually forget if I have multiple suits and I just apply the right suit based on the situation at hand.
For example, what If I deploy a heavy fitting thinking that he has a Heavy Machine Gun but instead I've equipped him with an Assault Rifle? I feel tricked in my mind, so from then on I labeled my suits on their Primary component, the gun. |

Like this:
L-M [SG-M DU-M] The L is ofc Logistics and the M is militia the things between the brackets are the most defining gear of the suit.
SG = Shotgun DU = Drop Uplink

I name mine after its roll on the battlefield as I try to field to counter. Its better to name by roll. You can upgrade suits modules weapons etc. The name and its roll on the battlefield is less likely to change if your fitting it right.

I name mine something amusing and descriptive. I have a free scout suit with a shotgun, I call it "Hobo w/ shotgun". I have a Really fast suit with a nano injector, since it brings people back from the dead and can run on water, I call it Jesus. My favorite is my free scout suit with swarm launcher, I call it the panzerjager. I briefly had a heavy II suit with shield stuff and an HMG, I called it "Bill Nye, Heavy weapons guy"

I don't often rename from the default at the moment. Maybe when we get to needing more than 10 fits or so I'll start looking into it. If I did rename them, I'd rename them by task. For instance, the one suit that I haven't left on its default name is the Dragonfly suit I use for putting down militia uplinks.
We could use the ability to reorder our fittings in the list, though. That would be nice. |

I name them based on the role, with a prefix designating the general price range/situations to use it in.
Betamedic (For use with other Betamax players) Cheapmedic (The only thing I have to pay for on that is the rifle) E-Medic (All-Militia gear)
I also have an E-AV and an E-CQC that I'm experimenting with. |

Unlike most folks here I start with the suit type, then the level (which gives me a clue to the price) then the primary weapon and last the specials. Use abbreviations to keep it short..
Log Mil AsltR Nano Rep -- the cheap logistics build with an assault rifle for primary weapon Aslt Mil Spawn -- for a cheap assault build (assume the assault rifle) and a drop uplink Aslt TII Swarm Nano -- for a Type II AV build.
I don't put the prices in because the way restocking works if you use more than one type of suit in a battle and they have any overlapping modules the price will be wrong when you restock anyway. All I need is a general idea. |

First letter = suit type, second primary weapon type, Then a brief one word label that lets me know it's purpose.
SAR-Triage would be Scout with an Assault Rifle and Nano Injector HFG-Nano would be Heavy with a Forge Gun and Nano Resupply thingie. |
