we've all seen our SP increase by about 1 point every 3 seconds or so when we are not in battle. my question is, do we still collect when we are off line?
honestly i haven't paid much attention since this started last week. after being off line from saturday night into sunday night, it didn't occur to me. this time i've been off for almost a week (family before fun  ) so i'm curious what kind of SP i'm going to see when i get back on this weekend (about 6 days later).
i mean, 1 pt/ 3sec = 20 pt/ min = 1200 pt/ hour = 28800 pt/day = 201600 pt / 7 day week. no too shabby. sure, you can get that many SP in about 10 battles or less, but it's a few upgrades (or gets you closer to a big upgrade) for doing nothing. especially for those of us who can't play every day, or just a few hours a day. |

Simple answer is -- yes, we do collect and accumalate skill points passively even while offline and/or not playing Dust514.
Edit:
I had done the math and a thorough discussion over passive skill point acquasition. Roughly at one skill point per every four second you gain just over twenty-one thousand skill points a day just for having an account, and character on Dust514. While early on that is great the longer your character is there you'll see how insignificant that small sum total is. Anyway it's not a bad thing, and is a good thing to have, and is very well balanced. You will still need to afford time to play to keep up. |

yeah, i thought is was every 3-4 seconds, but it still is good news. i play as often and as much as i can, but with a wife, son, job, and house to take care of, play time is limited in my world. i'm just happy to know that i can gain something during those down times. |

Do not feel bad. You are not alone. While I am a bachelor myself (no wife, or kids) I work, and live paycheck to paycheck. Ha-ha. Anyway do not fret. You'll gain a hefty sum nonetheless whether you play or do not. Twenty-one thousand can still accumalate into a hefty sum. |
