I only played one game, but the only kill I got was against a guy nearly in melee range.
Do sniper rifles have bullet drop? I had several guys lined up in crosshairs perfectly and no hit.
Is there a rifle with better zoom than the default Scout rifle? In maps this big, even scoped, people looked like ants. |

Militia Sniper has a heavy sway and relatively low accuracy; that said I use it almost every game and pwn with it |

No drop.
If the enemy is moving sideways it's nearly impossible to hit them. Moving towards, away or are stationary are almost guaranteed hits(sometimes a building hitbox is in the way - invisible and annoying).
The higher level rifles have better zoom, although the ants are a fun challenge for me, just don't bother firing if they're not stationary or find a better spot. |

Carlito I can vouch for your sniper skills  you saved me one match i believe it was the match i went 29/5 but you picked off three guys that were about to kill me in 5 seconds flat. Nice shooting if you ever need a corp just ask. |

Also doesn't work to aim at the character model half the time from distance. If the reticle turns orangey yellow then you will hit, sometimes it will turn when you are not dead on what looks like your enemy.
Also sometimes from distance looks like you are dead on, reticle will turn, opponent will take no damage even if they are standing still.
But this build is a vast improvement over the last where the draw distance ended when you were still in assault rifle range, there was really no point to sniper rifles then. |

If you have little to no skills in sniping, then hitting things at long range is very difficult. If you are having problems at long range, try skilling up light weapon sharpshooting skill a few. I use the following fit and have little to no problems at sniping:
Dragonfly drop suit
(Militia gear)
Sniper rifle
Light damage mod
Toxic SMG
CPU enhan
Armor repper
Grenades
And a nano hive
This fit requires electronics and Engineering skills to lev 4, and light weapons upgrade skill 2. Everything else has no skill requirements so using it is very simple.
And to answer your question, I don't believe there is any bullet drop. |
