So I'm new to the EVE universe and although I've been reading the history
of the game I have absolutely no clue what the deal is with the corps that
are recruiting. Do certain ones have certain ideals/goals?Any and all advice
is welcome? |

I haven't seen a corp advertising here that matches the name of an EVE corp or alliance that I know of, though I certainly couldn't name every corp and alliance. I believe these are clans from FPSes like CoD and MAG that have branched out to DUST. If you're hesitant, just do a trial period with a corp and if you like them stick with 'em. |

Corps in Eve are basically like Clans, they're a group of people who pool their resources, in Dust likely weapons, vehicles, etc, and work together in teams. In Eve they have the capability of holding planets and space stations and I expect that that the corps in Dust will factor into that in some way too. Basically, Corps will then fight each other for dominance and control of planets and systems. |

ZionTCD is a minor corp in EVE, and Umbrella Corp also has a small but more substantial presence. Most of the other Dust corps so far are battlefield clans and MAG clans. |

I think most of the powerblocs aren't going to bother recruiting until we see the full version of the game. The corp I'm in is definitely going to have a DUST counterpart (and I'm sure some of our allies will, too), but AFAIK, nobody has set recruiting standards yet. Gotta watch out for spais. |

See your corp compared to eve corps as gladiators in the time of the Roman empire to the wealthy officials. They have it all and we have nothing, what is expensive to us they own millions of, we are their play things that they provide scraps to |

They'll have to give us some kind of power in the markets...if we're supposed to be
mercs I would imagine they'll want the best so the good corps will be able to
chelarge more? Get more offers? I'm interested to see how it works |

The current eve corps are just observing dust 514 and fomulating plans on how to best deal with the new guys as well as what resources to take in to thier fold and control and having better understanding of the whole system once it goes live. The observations will continue until null sec patch. |

Exactly thats why you dont see to many Test or GSF or Red or any other major powerblocs yet. Once it goes public you'll see insertion of 'allaince army' corps which will be the dust 514 corp in every major allaince. Theyll be like Pandemic Legion Muraders or GSF People's Republic Army or the like but you get the idea. |
