I know this is free to play, I know this is a beta, and the devs want constructive feedback, so I'll give my 2 cents. The game feels outdated. The graphics look ps2 era. I don't really feel immersed, engaged or excited when playing. Despite turning the brightness almost all the way up, the game still looks very drab or dark. The sensitivity makes no difference what so ever for dual shock 3. From default turned all the way down, the speed still feels the same for both the hip and ads. When in ADS, why is the movement still fast? If I wanted to aim fast, I would shoot from the hip. But the movement speed of ADS is very twitchy, isn't it supposed to be slower for careful aiming? I'm sure this is fine for mouse and keyboard or move, but this doesn't feel right for me. Wish devs would allow us to adjust speed for hip and ADS separately. It would give every player the ability to make the game feel exactly they want it to feel.
Even if I compared to this other, smaller F2P games on pc, the games on pc still seems a step up from this game. Like BF heroes. Simple game, not graphic intensive, but delivers on all fronts. Game looks great, controls great, and makes you want to play more. The new F2P Sony online entertainment game "Bullet Run". The game is ugly, but you can see everything. The game looks vibrant and gritty at the same time. The controls are spot on and the game is kinda addictive.
The interface at the beginning where you can walk around your little spot looks and feels pointless. Walking around like a turtle isn't very fun. I know everything is accessible through the start button. But then, that just makes the avatar and his spot rather pointless then.
If feels like this game was made with the HOME engine. Sluggish and uninspiring.
The one good thing bout this game is you can shoot things. But that's as far as I go. Because I don't see anything different. Aesthetics don't make a game different. Even if adding the EVE universe to this, I don't think it would feel any better. Because the point of THIS game is to move and shoot things in a attractive environment, filling yourself with violence and enjoyment of achievements, that's the first thing you need to nail. Everything else is icing on the cake.
Its good that this is free 2 play, therefore it has room to improve. But compared to what others think, a beta is 90% reflective of what the game will be like. The final version isn't goin to be a huge overhaul compared to this (if they wanted to, they would have to code a whole new game). Lots of things will be fixed and added. But it will look the same.
Again, this is just my 2 cents, no negativity on my end. Just tellin it like it is. I want this game to succeed and have a huge audience. But, there seems to be a huge list of improvements this game needs to go through in order to achieve it. Good luck dev team. I'll be following your progress and do my end of the beta by reporting anything that seems wrong. |

So now I just played with the playstation move. Was impressed at first. Was. The movement and speed seemed a little better then Killzone 3, but I can't say my bullets were going where they were supposed to like killzone 3. In K3, there was this little lag in movement, I didn't notice it too much in this game. HOWEVER. However, when going into ADS with the move, that's when the nightmare happened. The move is supposed to be like a mouse, where the speed isn't too different when using ADS compared to Hip, but there is a huge difference in ADS on the move. It is so slow, so inaccurate, that I couldn't use it at all, so I was tryin to kill people from far away from the hip. The tiniest, or moderate movements in ADS would not read. Then if you did manage to move the crosshair, it would jump miles to every side. I've tried this on 50 sensitivity, 60, and 90. It doesn't move when you want it to, but if you move enough to make it move, it jumps with such exaggeration, that your target is way way off your crosshairs. Horrible. Now on to mouse and keyboard test. |

Just played with mouse and keyboard, and already noticed it is the best way to play, in terms of accurate controls. Despite loving M/K, wish I could change the keys, and the dual shock buttons still appear on screen making me go back to the controller cause I don't know what the X, circle and every else is on the keyboard. The big downside to this experience however (don't know if its related), I go into my first match with M/K, I kill 2 guys instantly, a third kills me from behind. I choose to spawn at B (its a rgp map, don't know what it is, cause it isn't easily displayed in game) I sink into the ground after spawning. Can't move, can't jump, so I have to suicide. Then I try to spawn again. Game freezes at spawn selection on map. Don't know if its laggin or what. I wait for a bit, can't do anything, after a few mins, I'm able to spawn. I move around for a bit, then freeze again. I'm just standing here, while music is playing. Nothing is happenin around me. I hope to find a stable game to try out M/K even more.
Edit: That last freeze, was a console freeze, now I have to hard restart.
Edit2: WTH did this game do to my console? Tried to hard restart, the green light is still blinking. Console hasn't turned off yet. Its been over 15 mins. This is the longest restart I've ever seen. Pushed and held the power button multiple times, no response. |

Unplug the console from power and it should restart.

Thats what I had to do. I was hoping that I didn't have to resort to the last option. |

This goes back to my main complaint the character movement is way off feels like you are floating or slideing around. And the zoom you get when you look down your sights is outdated and just all around bad. I would love to see it handled like other modern shooters. The weapon zoom alone is a deal breaker for me I cant say anything good about it, its ugly and dont work well there are so many games to look at weapon zoom thats done well COD,Halo, Killzone 3. But this strange zoom feature just yanks you right out of the game experience would rather just have iron sight view with no zoom at this point. |

I just played as a heavy for the first time with mouse and keyboard. I have to say I was very disappointed. Hes the heavy, so therefore he is slow, I get that. But why is my movement (with the mouse) like a tank? Last I checked, I'm a human, not a giant machine.
Then I messed around with the sensitivity for mouse and keyboard, its exactly the same problem as the dual shock sensitivity. From default all the way down to 0, there was no difference. Also, ADS for mouse and keyboard also suffers the same jumping feel as the dual shock. Why is the movement faster? I'm not understanding this balance. |
