I liked messing around with mass drivers for a little while in the last patch, but they were too buggy to be reliable. Since there's no militia mass driver for me to try out... What is everyone's opinion on them now? Are they still pretty much crap? |

I want the mass driver to work too, I miss my thumper from planetside 
Could you do what I did please and submit as detailed a bug report as possible to CCP. Hopefully we can get this badboy sorted. |

I have to say though, at least in a match I played earlier, the grenades don't do much damage when they hit you, but they make the camera go all over the place and almost work like a stunning weapon. If anything they disorient the enemy which could be very useful. |

Yea I know and added to that have less ego to deal with. I dont find it shameful at all when she lodges a mass driver round in my head just ribbing the guy a little thats all. |

Jenza destroys with a Mass Driver, shes almost always at the top. In other news, the AUR Mass Drivers are insanely dangerous, which leads me to believe that Advanced and Prototype Mass Drivers will be better. In the old build I dominated with a Freedom Mass Driver. i even took down a few tanks with it, and one dropship. |

you can make them kinda viable on an assault suit with two damage mods (one enhanced, one basic) and a nanohive.
use the regular mass driver. the breach one never hits a target (blast radius too small), the assault one hits often but for very little damage.
they work very well on scout suits too, since you can stay alive long enough to reload (which you will be doing very often)
currently trying to get advanced mass drivers, which might be more viable than the standard ones, but i'd be tied at the hip to ammo supplies since i'd need to get at least a 5:1 KDR in order to not lose money since the advanced drivers are so ******* expensive
edit: another problem is that it dry-fires roughly 30% of the time. a round flies and hits the ground by does not detonate and does no damage |
