Sisi last I checked isn't available for players to connect to yet, so definitely no. Once it's up, will be interesting to see. |

I was thinking the same thing, but the EVE Test Client is reporting to me "Incompatible" still...
I highly doubt the "Give Money" option will work though.. but I will try none the less.. heh

I highly doubt EVE players would just be able to give Dust players money, because it would completely wreck the economy. |

There's not really an "economy" yet. I hope that we'll be able to transfer isk - otherwise earning enough isk to purchase skill books and gear is going to take a long time.
EDIT: Perhaps adding a tax to isk transfers (10%) may help even the field. |

That was the point wasn't it (to take a while)? Pretty sure EVE takes some time. |

It has been made pretty clear by CCP that you won't be able to transfer isk between DUST an Eve, the only flow to begin with will be from Eve corps contracting DUST corps to take or defend a planet. I think they'll try to make it very difficult to work this to your advantage by contracting your own 1 man corp to do nothing, not sure how, but I'm sure they've thought very hard about it because they don't want the rich Eve players to gift themselves a massive advantage in DUST. |

I think in the end the most money you make out of matches will come from selling your salvage rewards to other players (seriously if you compare that to market prices, its a goldmine) |

If by OB you mean orbital strike, they are coming from the MCC.
Sisi is the Eve 'public' test server, in much the same way we are testing DUST, Eve players can test new builds of Eve before it is released to Tranquility the main server (and where we will be when DUST is released) So yes there are Eve players on there, but all we can really do at the moment is chat and mail them. |

Actually they are coming from the "war barge". There are no player OB's... yet. |

At some point won't there be a shared EVE/DUST market?

They'd obviously want to avoid letting Dust players simply acquire billions of ISK with the market being as it is now. This economy stuff is pretty complicated, so I'm guessing they've been carefully considering their plan of action for a long time now. EVE's economy is pretty involved, and I couldn't imagine them ever opening up Dust to that without seriously doing a lot of work to either prevent Dust and EVE currency from being transferred at all really, or somehow allowing Dust to have an economy which might be able to integrate with EVE's. Doing the latter without making items inaccessible to people without rich EVE characters to donate their Dust character money would be a hell of a feat, though.
In short, I wouldn't plan on getting money from EVE anytime soon. They wouldn't want to trivialize the entire ISK-related aspect of the game for people, nor would they want to consign non-EVE players to militia gear because tanks and stuff cost 100x what they do now. |

I would hope they would allow for isk transfer. I know it wouldn't make much sense to allow billions in transfers. There has got to be a way to balance this. Either by taxing isk transfers or allowing a max amount. Yes there would be an advantage to EVE players, but the question is why not? Loyal pilots should be given an incentive to play Dust, and Loyal Mercs should have an incentive to start playing EVE. It also looks like AUR will be the primary source of revenue for Dust. If I'm not mistaken, Dust will always be a free to play game on PSN. I think we should allow unrestricted exchange of AUR. If you pay for an EVE subscription you acquire AUR right? You shouldn't have to pay to communicate with UVT's. We know its a work in progress, and it may be a few years for full integration. I love the idea of giving us something to play while CCP continues with this enormous feat. I look forward to all the roll outs of new features, and watching all the testers tear them apart in the forums.

EnIgMa99 wrote:its going to be cool right since its just the test server so i can drain the corp wallet and try out some worry free isk dust Firstly how are you planning to join a corp without any UI for corp management. Secondly if you'd read any of the previous posts you'd have realised there will be no way to take or be given isk from an Eve character or corporation without being contracted to take or defend a nullsec planet and as we don't have access to any nullsec planets yet your going to find it tricky to get any "worry free isk dust"
As isk is completely useless in the eve side of Sisi, there would be billions getting transferred to dust, I have 4 billion spare of my own but I have no hopes of using it in dust at all. |

EVE corps can have both EVE players and Dust players in them at the same time, Corps are not game-exclusive. As such money stored within the Corp Wallet would be accessible across platforms.
Even if they restrict ISK transfer, I imagine much of the gear we use will be manufactured by EVE players and then sold to Dust Corps. This can be confirmed by the fact that a recent screenshot of upcoming EVE builds shows a market menu with a category for "Infantry Equipment". All an EVE player needs to do is build/buy what they want and sell it to their Dust character for dirt cheap.
If you completely restrict the economy between the two games, doesn't that kind defeat the purpose of EVE/Dust integration? If anything, CCP WANTS you to transfer ISK to Dust, because ISK in Dust is destroyed far more quickly than in EVE, which helps remove ISK from the EVE market. EVE is constantly suffering from massive inflation, and one of CCP's full time jobs is to find new and creative ways to remove ISK from the market to help combat this inflation. Dust is a perfect conduit to this end. |
