I know it's not out yet, and the Battlefinder may be reactivated later.
What I'd like to see, for the Instant Battle, is a setting the player can use to choose which type of battle they want to be joined to (Ambush, Skirmish) so they get what they prefer.
Pre Precursor, Ambush was Skirmish, and Skirmish was Assault. There were more Assault players than Skirmish. 90% of the IBs I'm joined to now are Ambush, which I don't do well in because of the sideways spawn system that can spawn you in the middle of hostiles (FIX!). |

A lot of people share this feeling. It was not like this before, so my guess is they added it for this build to make sure all maps and types will get properly tested and maybe to make things easier to jump in for the PS Plus players joining us come tuesday. I cannot see this being the final product for IB, as I am sure EVE contracts will change this dynamic greatly. |

Well I think new assault maps are a huge improvement over the old ones. |

battle finder is back up again, and from what ive seen only does Skirmish Maps.
Instant Battle does both Skirmish and Ambush.
Currently it looks like there's only 2 Skirmish maps in rotation.
OT: Ambush works best if you can hang near your teamies... first side to break another teams group, forcing staggered spawns, seems to win, as it becomes a hunt after that.
learning the maps so you can flee for regen or to set an ambush on pursuers is a good idea. |
