some people seem to have this mysterious ability to defy the crappy hit detection and land every hit no matter which way or how you move.
what is the secret? leading targets is woefully inconsistent based on your and your enemy's latency. aiming right at targets does nothing of course is there some magical way to see the target's ACTUAL hitbox and aim for that instead of the misleading model?

It does feel like that sometimes. In the match I just played, some guy with a heavy machine gun was shooting at me from like 10 feet away, obviously hitting me, as I tried to straff back and forth in my already severely damaged militia assault suit. I took out his shields and half his armor before he killed me. Unfortunately I've been on the opposite end of that where I'm clearly hitting the person but the bars never move, and when I'm moving like made and some guy from 5 miles away with an assault rifle hits me with every single shot.
That being said, I still think the hit detection on this new server (singularity?) is a lot better than it was before. |

Shotgun scout. Get in close and it is hard to miss. |

The point is, we're not missing. Like I said, the hit detection is a lot better, but it still seems a little off. Coupled with the over-sensitivity when aiming and it can get pretty frustrating. |

lol, had a match where I was sniping... unfortunately my damage wasn't 1-hitting some people (militia). So I line up the second shot, they don't move, so I take it.... the second shot misses.... the third shot misses...
and every one of them had the orange 'valid target' effect on the reticule... |

Were they standing near a null-cannon (capture point A/B/C)? Because people can stand almost inside the silly-big hitbox of those things, and you can think you've hit them but you have actually hit the installation instead. |

Actually it was a guy who's name I recognized from the forums, but don't remember... and he was standing completely ontop of a rock spire from the new 'open' map. Full view, didn't seem like the rock formation would have a hitbox that high.
It happened a second time with someone else in a more normal situation. |
