Hi, not sure if this is a technical support issue or me just being an idiot, but I've just bought two skill upgrades with ISK through the market, rather than through the skills screen. They show up as assets, but they don't show as me actually having the skills in the skill screen. How do I assign them to my character?

Go to skills, hit R2 to move to 'All Skills', find the skill, hit X (I think) to select the skill, and then select use skillbook (Or something along those lines). |

In the previous build, when you bought skills through the skill screen or market, it said "purchase and use skillbook?" and now it only gives the purchase option regardless of how you get it.
Probably to support trading and players buying each other (or their own alts) skillbooks. |

Do you have all the pre-reqs of the skill? Show info on the skill and it will show you what skills you need before that skill. |

Yeah, it's for dropsuit command, I bought two levels in it from the skills section of the market because I didn't realise that you could do it from the skills menu. They are listed as assets I own, but there is no use skill book potion. Then to test whether it was because I bought them from the market rather than the skills menu I tried to buy one from the skills menu. I now own three unusable skill books it seems. When I select the dropsuit command skill I get three options 'Purchase Skillbook', 'Upgrade Skill' and 'Show Info'. Any ideas? |

You already HAVE Dropsuit Command.
You can't NOT have it.
If you bought the skillbook, you wasted your money, it's useless.
If Upgrade Skill is an option, buying the skillbook is unnecessary. |

All Mercs are born with the 'Dropsuit Command' skill already bought and trained, Fenrar.
SKILLBOOKS are bought with ISK.
SKILL LEVELS are bought with SKILLPOINTS.
So, if you have enough skillpoints to train the next level of a skill, all you have to do is select that skill in your 'Skills' window, hit 'X', and select the 'Upgrade Skill' menu option. The game will then consume some of your skillpoints and raise the level of that skill by +1. |
