I have issues with it, my girlfriend has MAJOR issues with it.
it's SLIGHTLY (very, VERY slightly) better now than in the last build, but there's a simple fix I've suggested before that would make it work WELL.
When you press OR hold R2 for weapon swap, the currently-highlighted equipment should ALWAYS tick over to the next weapon/item in the list. If you "accidentally" hold the button for a second when you're trying to tap it, this means you'll still get the next weapon. If you tap the button during a lag spike and it registers as being held, you still get the weapon swap you were trying for.
This would make things MUCH less frustrating for everyone if it was implemented.

I have issues when my assault rifle is reloading and I try to switch to my submachine gun, it will stop the reloading animation and the reloading process, but it won't switch over, sometimes three times in a row. So I'm wasting time trying to swap to my sidearm, when if I'd have just waited I could have reloaded the assault rifle. Major issue for me. |

Also there seems to be a 3-5 second wait to switch weapons after you've switched or reloaded. This may be only for KBM |

This may be only for KBM It happens with sixaxis controllers as well, although for me, it's not quite 3 - 5 seconds. It's more like 2 - 3 seconds with both KB+M or sixaxis most of the time. |

+1 I had my medic stick out, had to hit it 5 times to change to my main weapon. I died while I was pulling it out. |

Also nice to see nobody saying it's a BAD idea - although if someone does have a problem with my suggestion, I'd like to hear what the problem is and how to fix the problem better. |

Only thing I can think of to make it better would be for it to be a setting, rather than compulsory. That way if people want they can stick with the current means of weapon swapping, or switch over to the dynamics you suggested. |
