No, your faction will in no way determine who you can play with, unless you specifically get into Faction Warfare. |

Yeah. I mean, how do you think all of us in the EVE community form the massive Coalitions that we do? It'd be hard to do if we were limited to pilots of our own faction. |

And even then if you're bloodline is Amarr you can still fight for the Minmatar in FW. The NPC corps are just like they are in Eve. |

Chances are that you can even play with him in faction wars. If this turns like Eve, one of you will have to grid standing with the others faction and join their war. |

In EVE, when you make a capsuleer of a certain race, the main thing it affects is your background.
Until relatively recently, corporations in EVE could only have a certain percentage (with skill level upgrades removing the limit) of other races in their corp that differs from the CEOs race, but this was done away with.
