Most likely ppl forget to push-to-talk...or disable push to talk, also, they might be in Squads with firends, because you can only have voice in one Channel at a time
Squad Activated = Squad Only Recive/Transmit
Team Activated = Team Only Recive/Transmit
...That means if you on squad with your friends, then change to team, they wont hear you and u wont hear them unless they all move to team, and the other way around. So that can also be a reason why mics are less common if queued solo |

Personally I rarely have trouble finding two or even three people whom are active on the mic in-game. I guess I am just lucky? Still it draws that most people probably never bother looking at their options, or taking notice of the loading screen showing the layout of the controller scheme. Maybe both even. I have my PtT (Push to Talk) set [off] so that it is open mic. I find pushing left on the D-pad (Directional Pad) is akward, clumsy and brutal. Especially given that you have to give up movement (unless you are southpaw) to use your mic which can cost you or your team. That in my opinion is too high a risk. |
