I've found the ingame menus/UI to be a bit wanting for a while now, and wanted to post some of my ideas in the feedback forum. However, as you can imagine, it'd help my case a lot of I could post visual aids to accompany my descriptions.
So basically, a quick question: Would it be considered an NDA breach if I linked generic wireframes of my ideas, without any coloring/styling(or at least a style different from DUST) and with all labels and descriptions changed to generic dummy text?
I'd also welcome suggestions for image hosts that are hard to accidentally stumble across(so only people who are directly linked from this forum even have a chance of viewing the already-scrubbed images)
To mods: I really wasn't sure where to put this, but if you feel it's in the wrong forum or something, please answer my question before you lock the topic. |

I wouldn't think so, you are creating your own personal designs, and aren't really showing off the Beta. I say go for it, but if a GM or Dev disagrees, feel free to point it out. |

I honestly do NOT get the whole NDA thing CCP is sticking to. I got into this beta all the way back in April (April 19th to be exact), at that time it was really a "closed beta", and no one could just get in unless they're invited.
But since June 29th, this beta in my opinion is no longer "Closed Beta". When you give the ability to ANYONE to join by buying the Merc. Pack, or simply going to PSHome, and getting a key, or now on the 21st with all the PS+ users getting in. It should NOT be called "Closed beta" anymore. And that NDA should DEFINITELY be lifted. |

I think the NDA is fairly prudent even at this point. A lot of the features in this game aren't implemented yet or are broken. Conversation on these topics could easily be taken out of context by people who haven't played, which could easily damage the games reputation. The NDA gives CCP a way to fight unfair judgement of a work in progress. |

I agree. The product we are testing is still a ways off of the game CCP has been showing off at E3 and Gamescon, so leaks of our still in development build would give "Outsiders" the wrong impression. I think there should be a little more leeway for us in the Beta to share with other Beta members, but I guess the NDA is the lesser of two evils for CCP and the DUST 514 final product. |

Make sure you get a Dev, or GM's verification 1st, but I'm pretty sure that as long as everyone accessing your new dust widget / screenie / wtf ever is also under NDA then you're OK.
Sharing with CCP should be fine, sharing with people not under NDA - not so much. |
