Earlier today I had seem to met the requirements for a orbital strike (which got me the match winning kill might I add). Very exciting to see it implemented in the new build but I would like to ask if anybody knows what the requirements actually are.

I had this question in mind too. I guess it has something to do with teamwork, as it has been written that your squad has to fulfill certain requirements in order to execute an OS. Maybe your squadmates have to capture a certain number of objectives during the match or perform some other tasks. I hope devs will come by and clarify this question for us. |

Yeah, its kind of hard to test something when we don't fully know the requirements to activate it. |

From my tests, the squad leader/squad have to accrue enough war points. You don't necessarily need to capture anything.
A good way to get those points fast is to go tank hunting with you squad and have a tank of your own. When you're squad's tank arrives, set a defend order on it. When you spot enemies (preferably tanks), put an attack order on them. When your squad gains points for damaging tanks, you receive squad leader commission war points. Repping the tank and general support actions will help you accrue more points. |

The orbital strike happened on an Ambush match. I wish I would have payed attention to how many squad kills my squad had. It must be war points. |

When i got mines, it was when i acquired this leadership points or something and with enough of it, I got to call in one durinng a match. So mostly likely, it have to do of how much active your squad leader is in both commanding orders and doing stuff in the battlefields |

your squad leader does it using the vehicle summon type button, and it's based off warpoints I believe. It will apparently notify you when you have one available.
The current ones are just from the MCP, the bigger ones will be from EVE players.
Hope we have about 1000 willing testers on SISI tonight to be our OS snipers. |

That's the whole idea with this next release, which we might be getting sooner than expected based on CCP Frame's posts. |

squad leaders can issue commands with R2 and some other button? These increase the points gained when people complete them. I can't wait for them to release command suits. I will run around boosting my allies, keeping ammo up and issuing commands to get everyone leveled up fast and lasers from the sky! |

On the skir maps managing to get 3 of these per game. Just moving about slowly as a squad taking points and shooting peeps. |

ya i am sure it is war points that is needed, i have played a match where we used no squad orders and still got one, even tho squad orders probably makes it come alot faster.
and jim he is saying if you hold r2 and then hit r3 you cna issues squad orders which makes commanding alot easier |

I think that it isn't really an orbital strike... it is from the turrets of the mcc |
