I think that the added degrees of freedom to the dropships are great, however, at the moment it's very hard to stabilize the dropships in mid-flight, especially while trying to get away from danger; it seems like the dropships are in need of some sort of avionics systems, which could possibly be added as a module or be incorporated under the piloting skills. I also believe that with the existing dropship physics, it would be helpful to have a thruster under the nose of the dropship to keep it stable while pointing the nose down since they tend to front-flip while trying to fly forward at high speeds. |

You know, at first I was ready for a "OMG FIX DROPSHIPS" post, but I kinda like this idea. Something to separate skilled dropship pilots from others. Although who knows, maybe CCP has more plans for pilot suits and skills already. Still, I like the idea of handling/stabilization skills. |

how about I press the last unused button and swap modes?
Also it is very unlikely that skill points would effect handeling at all. |

I'm curious if Pilot dropsuits would give a boost in agility, performance and powergrid/cpu.
That would be a great way to encourage pilots to use dedicated dropsuits. Only the serious would train up those and be easy gun fodder with them on outside the dropsuit.
I'd also love to be able to deploy as a pilot dropsuit WITH the vehicle, or at least have it coming down shortly afterwards. (the RDV's are bad drivers sometimes)
I'd also like to have any pilot dropsuit automatically have a vehicle slot reserved for him/her in the team total, so LAV's can't eat up a spot for a bigger vehicle. |
