Instant Battle: -Day 1 wasn't instant at all(not working at all much of the time), day 2 it's working better but seems to be lagging(probably because the map is loading).
-Sometimes more players than a full game can handle is loaded(more than 24), once today when this happened I was allowed to get into the game, the other 2 times I had to leave the battle and try again(it worked once I did this).
-Several times when using instant battle I received "the battle is full" messages(over and over and over). Going to battle finder and trying to log into the empty game allowed me to get in game using instant battle.
-It seems like the balancing mechanism is working. I have yet to come across a game where there was a landslide victory.
Crashes: -Day 1 had to pull the cord once, Day 2 none.
Hangs: -One time during a match I was not able to spawn(stuck on the overview map). Something we can select to respawn would be nice(eg change the suicide option to respawn). Leaving the battle fixed this for me.
-Leaving the battle during load prevented the neocom from coming up. Had to exit the game.
Fittings: -I don't want to buy every item in my fitting every time, this makes me take far more time to restock my fittings as I have to go to the marketplace. The restocking mechanic from the e3 build was great(restock fitting up to X).
-Logistics - Triage was duplicated as Logistics - Triage 2 for some reason. The other default builds were not duplicated.
-I still want to be able to sort and categorize my fittings(ie free, basic, advanced, prototype).
Money: -Less contract money than last build coupled with increased cost(about 5x from what I can see) prevents me from using more than 2 advanced fittings per match in order to break even. Salvage will make up some of this once we can sell our surplus(I have no use for the 5 eryx that I salvaged) but I don't think it will allow constant advanced fittings(at least not for me).
Weapons: -Swarm Launcher - rockets firing straight out is nice, it should make tank hunting indoors a lot easier. The lock on time seems to be too long now that you need to keep the vehicle in the sight picture for the full lock on period. Maybe make the lock on time proportional to how far away a vehicle is. Even a soma is dangerous now that you can't hide behind cover while locking. Now that it fires faster and is more responsive it's harder to get the missiles to move over or around an object without hitting something.
-Sniper Rifle - it's now far easier to snipe because of the draw distance increase. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. Maybe hide long range arrows now that you can actually see and identify enemies when you put the scope near them.
-Mass Driver - Still seems that half of the grenades are duds still. I haven't seen an explosion yet from one of these in this build, just dust puffs.
-Nanite Injector - Sometimes it's nearly impossible to get the icon to revive a teammate. I had 2 downed teammates right in front of me while the icon showing me where they are was there but when I moved over them I did not receive the "press R1 to revive" message despite running over them several times. It seems that a larger activation radius is needed.
-Repair Tool - I like the color change, much better feedback when I'm repairing someone or something. The loss of self repair makes me sad.
-Quantum Nanohive - All ammo types refilled at the same time seems too quick(1x swarm launcher shot, a pile of smg ammo and a grenade at the same time).
-Grenades - Thanks for the indicator, I really needed it.
Maps: -I haven't noticed any spawn camping yet that has succeeded, some were trying but weren't able to make it stick - with a few tanks it may have been possible.
-Redline needs to be returned to the minimap. I don't really have time to open the full map to see where the redline is and then run away from it.
-An MCC for each team seems to make the matches more balanced.
-It seems that I was spawning pointed towards the outside of the map when using the top left home spawn on the new plateau skirmish. |

I for one love the draw distance. Regarding your comment about the spotting, what if suit types were given a max spotting range? Have heavies and assaults short-mid range, and longer ranges for the logi/scouts. This could make scout suits fit more of a recon role, and scout snipers would be valuable target markers. Maybe working in a small point value for identifying targets that you don't kill could be introduced.
Course, these are all ideas with no clue what CCP has in mind for expanding on scanning and such. |

Some more feedback on instant battle: -Several times tonight I have had the game attempt to load a map but get stuck at the loading screen(ie I go to instant battle, go through the matchmaking, start loading and hang there). The only way out as far as I can see is to quit the game.
-I have also had several instances where the matchmaking happens then I'm dumped back in my quarters as if I didn't try to join. |
