Hi i got exactly the same problem.
I had colors in Dust 514 before i downloaded the new patch.
But now, after i downloaded the newest patch, there is no colors and everything is black and white.
It is only when i play Dust the colors turn off. When i play my other games there is no problem with the colors.
Do you use a SD tv? Because i do, and think that thats the reason why. |

Das selbe bei mir ich nutze noch einen r+¦ren Fehrnsehr / kein Flachbild und die Grafik hat sich verbessert aber keine Farbe, ab demmoment wo das Unreal logo erscheint.
I have the same problem i use an old TV / no Plasma LCD or like that only an Windowpipe TV.
At the point were the Unreal Tech. logo is on the screen i have no Color.
Pls. help i love the game and in Color much more. |

I have a SD TV too but thankfully I dont have this problem...but there is that anoying 16:9 aspect ratio and there is a small part on the right end of the TV that is black(1-2 cm horizontal line) which bugs me a bit.I do have screen scale on 100% and I would like to see option to move the screen up/down and left/right if needed.In any case this build is sight for my sore eyes on the SD TV and I dont find this to be anything that need to be fixed SOONtm
And to elaborate why I posted my problem here is the fact I rarely see any SD TV problem posts and I dont want it to get lost and I apologize for it
Edit:I remembered that I had issue like this on Dead Space 2 that was only for NTSC Tv's and I was still able to play on SD tv's with 3 slots for yellow,white and red and not for actuall SCART adapter so it might be conected to this |

i just patched today and have the same issue all black and white via the scart (old tv ) fine with other games
also tried with out the scart adaptor and just used the yellow video and white audio just to double check same issue black and white |

I believe its Dust failing to see you use PAL and not NTSC and thus playing in 60 instead of 50 Hz. |

I thought the game had always been black and white.
Thought they were going to patch the colour in on release or something.

agree i not played at all since the august release im having withdrawl syptoms found it hard and dull without colour
dont have the cash flow myself to fork out for a new HD tv |

I had an SDTV at first when I got the PS3. A year later I got an HDTV and I was awe stuck at the XMB alone. The menu text looked so crisp and everything looked absolutely gorgeous compared to SD. If finances are what holds back some gamers from getting HDTVs I understand, but if you can afford it, it's a CRIME not to be playing the PS3 on an HDTV. Games still look good, I know, I played MGS4 on the SD screen, but the real beauty of PS3s games is simply lost on it.
Anyway, I hope the SD issue gets fixed for you guys soon! |
