I know dust needs to be more in line with EVE cost while also scaling up the top end items and vehicles. My issue is that while costs have gone up dramatically while the rewards have not scaled as much.
Example previous build my standard use Assault suit was T2 with following equip.
2 complex shield ext
Adv AR
Adv SMG
Basic armor plate
Basic armor repper
This cost me a grand total of 16k. This was fair because on good games I would do close to 200k using it. In this build it costs me 86k an approx 500% increase. Why? I donGÇÖt remember many Nerf Beers threads going on for last 6 weeks.
We all have a bunch of isk sitting around from last build or we probably would be stuck in milita gear. I have no desire to skill for proto and or some advanced things based on these numbers.
As eve guy I get the need to make isk matter more but the FPS guy in mean thinks this sucks ass and takes a lot of the fun out of it. Yes logibro is more valuable not but thatGÇÖs not the answer.
DonGÇÖt get me started on loot either I went 11/2 killed 2 tanks and hacked a supply depot and objective I got 300k, 2 cpu upgrades, 2 basic armor reps while losing 1.2 mill in gear and vehicles.
I am mad bro because I want to use the cool stuff I skilled for more than once in a while.
So troll away or agree that ccp needed to nerf me. Either way speak up please.

You shouldn't be able to roll in proto suits all the time. If you need something more, you call in the big guns(tanks, installations, proto suits) but until then, its all risk vs reward and you have to play with something cost effective.
You said you an EVE guy, dont fly what you cant afford to lose lol.
prohibitive costs stop the no lifers or the fps gods from rolling in protos in high sec while newbs bend over waiting for their nearby ass raping. |

I guess you missed the part where I said it was a T2 assualt suit I was refering too. My suit isn't OP yet it goes up 500% in cost while rewards barely go up.
I don't expect nor do I think anyone expects to be able to roll proto/advanced every time in every match.

The economics of things still seems way out of whack, only really makes sense if the rewards are what they're expecting for null-sec dirt jobs or good low-sec. |

look, whether or not you feel cheated by the new market, i feel its much better and it could even be more considering the EVE players will pump a lot of cash money into the game.

There will be no isk transfer from eve to dust at go live. When ccp does allow for a isk transfer it will be limited like a slow drip.
Also all our gear will be still npc made at go live. When eve players get to build dust equip the prices will only go up as per every npc to player produced item ever has in eve.
If ccp intends that advanced and proto gear just be our sunday church fits then its going to be pointless to skill up for them because even with t2 fits you aren't making much profit in each match.
I can't even fathom ever seeing you and your tank I hate in a public match ever again. |

This is way out of line. As it stands, you will go broke using type-II suits in a serious match. And the rewards are totally random and not at all in line with the value of items destroyed or committed. If you destroy 10 tanks at the cost of one of your own, you shouldn't be going broke. That makes no sense. You have too many ways to get 1 shot to respawn for anything that will destroy your entire profit for the match to be worth it. If you are not dieing in an fps than you are playing garbage players. Period. If they are using prototype gear, you shouldn't be forced into militia gear to avoid going broke. We are talking double digit millions of ISK lost per 15 minute match. What on earth is that valuable in EVE/DUST? |

Troll. In EVE equivalent it is like going broke from using rifters. Not even going into the rewards for killing prototypes being out of whack. |

ive spent a good amount of hours playing with my surplus of suryas today to make sure i could see how i should change my style for this build. Ive had a lot of fun and by the end of the day i was going 30/0 in my madraugar. If necessary, i can still pull that tank out lol. |

Once we get reset and you have to start grinding isk and sp again how often do you think you will be able to afford pulling out tanks though? if the avg earned is 300k a match minus whatever you spent for gear and make say 150k profit how long will it take you to earn enough for a properly fitted Madraugar? 15 matches maybe? Why would anyone skill for something to be used that sparingly? |

Then you are playing bad players. The fact that you are making more isk not playing with what you invested SP in just proves how backwards it is.

? im not sure what you mean?
regardless of whether or not i am specced into assault, if you can kill someone you can do it with or without a proto suit. There are more ways to gain sp than just shooting.
either way, your argument is irrelevant. i have to get the tank first and then i can worry about whether or not i can afford it. once i do, playing others who dont yet have tanks will be interesting and im already knowledgeable in driving.....
lol, i dont think ive had people telling me i must be playing bad players before here lol its not like i dont know what im doing.

You don't lose them? The match i played against you and Mr nugent I kill your tank and assisted on his. You took a lot longer because of you hiding by C skills though.
Tanks are easier to kill then before especially with the draw distance now.
Like i said if this is the economy enjoy saving for tanks

I'm liking the new risk v reward ratio (for tanks, at least). Whenever I use a tank, now, there's a lot of tension in keeping it alive and it's disheartening when it blows up. It's going to be epic when there's a proper economy in the full release.
I like that I can kill a bunch of proto suits with ease but a few organized noobs in default heavy suits can destroy my tank just as easily. |

it depends who you kill, if you kill everyone in militia gear you get peanuts, but if the other team is full prototypes dropping tanks on you then you are in the money (providing you can kill them of course) |

I guess this makes sense as there only seemed to be 1 guy smashing proto swarms in my tail pipe all match. Most kills were super easy and think my reps got turned on like 3 times.
